Jay-Z is no stranger to “popping up on Forbes lists,” as he stated on Blueprint 3’s “Young Forever.” As Forbes unveils their Celebrity 100 list, Jay and his wife, Beyonce, make the cut along with Oprah Winfrey, James Cameron, Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.
B, the former star of Destiny’s Child, lands in the second spot behind Oprah who topped the list. Jay is at 15, right in front of the Black Eyed Peas at 16. Diddy is down on the list at 68, while Lil Wayne stands at 74 and Akon at 80.
The Celebrity 100 is based on money and fame, a system Forbes decided to use which takes into account earnings estimates from films, books, endorsements and more from June of 2009 to June of 2010. The fame aspect is rated through web hits, blog searches, covers of magazines and more. Facebook friends, fans and Twitter followers also factor into the equation.
