Rapper’s financial woes are coming into question lately. Nas’ battles with taxes and Kelis alimony sparked a trend witnessed recently in Chamillionaire and now veteran Bronx Rap star Fat Joe.
After listing his two million dollar Florida mansion up for sale, The Detroit News has acquired information that suggests that the Terror Squad front-man may be liquidating assets to cover debts of nearly $140,000.
The article cites that Joe recently lost a judgement against Sun Trust for the mortgage of that Plantation, Florida home, and owes over $71,000. The Diggin’ In The Crates crew member also has a tax lien by the state of New Jersey from 2008 in the sum of $105,000, and a Mercer County, New Jersey lien for just under $32,000.
At press time, Joe has yet to respond to these reports.
