J’Von “4Mill” Thomas, the former manager of Miami hit-maker Flo Rida, has officially decided to launch his own music career. A veteran of the music industry in its numerous aspect, 4Mill first began as a producer, engineer and music writer at the age of 14 in his father’s Miami studio.
It wouldn’t be until the year 2000 that he would first sign with Warner Brothers as a producer. Within one year, 4Mill moved over to the Miami-based Poe Boy Entertainment, where he would stay until 2006 working as a producer, promotor and engineer. Eventually, 4Mill began his own management company and found success managing fellow Floridian Flo Rida. 4Mill would go on to earn accolades working with Flo Rida, including the “Life of the Party” BET Award for engineering and arranging 2007’s “Low” and two Grammy nominations for engineering 2008’s “Right Round” and producing and engineering Lady Gaga’s “Star Struck” featuring Flo Rida.
“I feel extremely confident with [pursuing] my own rap career, as I know the whole business side of things behind the scenes,” said 4Mill of his upcoming musical career. “I feel like with this former knowledge I have the best of both worlds and I am unstoppable.”
