Cash Money has inked a deal with one of the hottest producers out right now, Rodney Jerkins, to co-distribute and market and promote albums and music from Darkchild Records/Entertainment. The first artist to be released between the two companies will be Harlem rapper FATS’, who self titled album F.A.T.S (Finally A True Story) will feature guest spots by Freeway (on the song “Stand Up”) of the Roc-A-Fella camp, Brandy and Micheal Jackson. Darkchild Entertainment has become one of the most influential entertainment companies producing hits for such artist as Destiny’s Child, Brandy, Mary J. Blige, Monica, Aaliyah and Michael Jackson, which has lead then to sell 130 million records as of late.
Another veteran beatmaker has signed onto the Cash Money imprint is Jazzy-Pha. One of Jazzy Pha’s most recent hit successes is with Nappy Roots’ on their hit single “Country Boy’s. Cash Money and DarkChild plan to collaborate on at least three albums with each company’s artists. With additional production and beat help, Mannie Fresh will have help with Cash Money’s growing roster.
