A year and a half after Jigga was accused of stabbing Lance “Un’ Rivera, and still no closure. Jay will have to wait another month for his trial to proceed. In his short court appearance yesterday, the Judge adjourned the case until May 16 in order for the crown to prepare their case. Jury selection will also begin that day.
The prosecution got the date pushed back because they plan to arrange a grand jury to proceed with his gun charges from last week. Jigga is out on ten thousand dollars bail and is to appear in court on June 26 for that incident. No decision has been made whether both cases will be heard in one trial.
