Ice Cube has been labeled a “fake gangster” by Sir Jinx as the latter’s ongoing lawsuit against the N.W.A. pioneer continues to drag on.
Jinx claimed in court documents last March that he hadn’t been paid his fair share of royalties from Ice Cube, despite having produced more than 28 tracks for the Death Certificate MC.
Jinx (real name Anthony Wheaton) claimed he had informed Cube and his team that he hadn’t been paid $100,000 in back pay, and asked a judge to force Cube to compensate him.
A source close to Cube told TMZ at the time that the 53-year-old rapper had loaned Sir Jinx a good chunk of change over the years and that those loans were never repaid, so in turn, the rapper had no intention of paying Jinx a cent.
Now, Jinx has fired back at Cube, claiming in a lengthy Instagram post on Sunday (December 18) that his former collaborator is nothing more than a “crook” who has “robbed” and “cheated” people over the years.
“How the hell am I paying a lawyer to get money this n-gga been on me for years?” Jinx wrote. “N-ggas can hide behind big Gates and security but you can’t hide from time. Your time is coming Mr Jackson trust me fake gangster you’re not from 111 Crip.”
He added: “You stole from there you never went to St Louis You! stole those stories from shorty and JD and big wave I suppose you made up all this stuff by yourself. Is he going to pay me or you going to pay for more security.”
Jinx then shifted his attention to the entertainment executive Jeffrey Kwatinetz, COO of Cube Vision, the film and television production company founded by Ice Cube and Matt Alvarez.
“This guy creates a hostile workplace by incessantly talking about the greatness of Donald Trump’s former political advisor Steve Bannon, while also behaving in an Islamophobic fashion,” Jinx wrote. “Wasn’t Cube down wit da Nation? What kind gangsta is this? Sad these dudes can’t be righteous with their family. I hope you win and get What’s owed to you brother. You have my full support. Salute true legend.”
Alongside the caption, Jinx shared a diss track aimed at Cube titled “Do Watchah Do,” which finds him calling out a “liar” and a “cheat” over Drake and JAY-Z’s “Love All” beat.
Sir Jinx is responsible for producing Ice Cube’s legendary diss track “No Vaseline,” as well as hits like “True to the Game,” “The Bomb,” “It’s a Man’s World,” and “The Funeral,” among others.
Cube has yet to respond to Jinx’s claim. On the music front, he recently joined forces with Snoop Dogg, E-40 and Too $hort to release their first album as the supergroup Mount Westmore. The 16-track Snoop, Cube, 40, $hort arrived on streaming services on December 9.

I’ve been to LA many times and know some real street dudes that were outside, and not certain how much Cube was in the streets but the dudes I knew they say ain’t nobody “F” with Cube. So he got some type of respect in the streets It could be just from being connected to whatever set. When I would visit out there I would all up in South Central, Slauson Swap-meet, on The Shaw, Central, Grape St., LeBreua, Barbary Coast Strip Club, Ran into M.C.
