Ice Cube has zero plans of revisiting his Westside Connection days, despite Mack 10‘s seemingly hopeful attitude toward a reconciliation.
Cube stopped by The Breakfast Club for a conversation posted on Tuesday (July 11). Among the topics, he discussed the possibility of a reunion between himself, WC and Mack 10, and there was no ambiguity about it: it’s not likely.
“Probably not,” Cube said plain and simply of getting the group back together. “I don’t wanna do another Westside Connection.”
When Charlamagne then noted Mack 10’s 2020 comments about reuniting and the fact he’s told his side of their beef more than once, Cube replied: “Of course he do [get to tell his side often]. I don’t wanna talk about it to be honest, because he know what it is.”

In an interview with the Murder Master Music Show in August 2020, Mack 10 was asked about what it will take to facilitate a Westside Connection reunion. The veteran MC noted he’s more than willing to reconnect with Ice Cube and WC for another LP – but put the onus on Cube to make it happen.
“That’s the question of the year, bro!” he said. “I don’t know, man. People asked me that and I really don’t know what it’ll take. I’m down, I’m sure Dub is down. Somebody probably gotta ask Cube what it’ll take because I really don’t know.”
He added: “[Fans] ask me in traffic and everywhere. Might be at the red light or something and somebody will recognize [me]. ‘Man, what’s up Mack? What’s it gonna take to get another Westside Connection album?’ And my answer is the same every day: I don’t know. I really don’t though.”
Westside Connection hasn’t released an album together since 2003’s Terrorist Threats. As of 2020, Mack said he hadn’t spoken with Cube in 10-15 years.
Meanwhile, Cube is more occupied with his newest group, Mount Westmore. Comprised of himself, Snoop Dogg, E-40 and Too $hort, the foursome dropped their drop their debut album in December after initially making the project available exclusively via blockchain under the title Bad MFs last summer.
Titled Snoop Cube 40 $hort, the LP features 16 tracks and just one guest feature in the Bay Area’s P-Lo.

Mack 10 is a chump and thought he could do whatever he wanted. His punk ass homeboys jacked Cube’s brother n law and Mack didn’t do or say shit. Now he is begging for a REUNION because his money isn’t and won’t be the way it once was.

a few years after they broke up, Ice Cube said if Mack wants to do Westside Connection again he had to kiss the ring. I truly think he still believes that. i dont know what the beef is, but I’m thinking Mack bit the hand that fed him and Cube wants him to “bow down” to ever be in his good graces again. even if he bowed Cube would just leave him there lol.

Wack 10 is lucky to have been a part of Westside Connection. If it wasn’t for that, he wouldn’t have been remembered at all. I can’t front on Backyard Boogie tho LOL

Their first album was when I lost all trust in The Source’s mic ratings. They gave it 4.5 / 5 and the album was mediocre at best.
