In its first week for sale on CD, Lil Wayne‘s I Am Not A Human Being gave the rapper a #1 spot, gaining 102,000 units from last week’s digital-only sales. Although the CD debut still fell just a few thousand short of last month’s digital debut, the strong push this week carried Weezy F. Baby over the quarter-million mark on a collection of songs that has seen little marketing and promotion. These tracks feature Young Money Records artists such as Nicki Minaj, Drake and Lil Twist.
Eminem’s Recovery held the #5 spot for another week, down just one from last week. The Interscope/Aftermath Entertainment release has the possibility of reaching the three million mark by year’s end.
Atlantic Records’ sensation Bruno Mars fell 10 spots to #12 with his debut Doo Wops & Hooligans. The longtime songwriter and producer could crack the 100,000 mark by next week. After scoring exposure via his “Nothin’ On You” feature alongside B.o.B. earlier this year, Doo Wops & Hooligans features Damian Marley.
Mars’ label-mate Trey Songz slid four spots to #13 with his Passion, Pain & Pleasure. Cracking 400,000 units, Trey may now be Atlantic Records’ biggest star in the wake of T.I.’s legal woes. The Petersburg, Virginia native’s fourth album features Drake and Nicki Minaj.
Brick Squad rapper Waka Flocka Flame fell just out of the Top 20 for his second week on the charts. The Atlanta sensation’s debut, Flockaveli features Pastor Troy, Wale and Uncle Murda. The Lex Luger-produced album scored a Top 10 debut last week, as Waka spent much of last week doing promotional touring and radio appearances.

Lil Wayne joins late Tupac Shakur as artist who reached #1 while in prison. (1995 Me Against the World)
“I’m putting out a [Wayne] album called I Am Not a Human Being and I’ll probably drop it on his birthday, September 27…I’m not even putting it out in stores. We just gonna put it out virally and maybe package it up for Christmas. Give ’em a hard copy later for fan appreciation.

Lil Wayne will make his mark alongside the late Tupac Shakur next week when the physical copy of Weezy’s latest album, I Am Not a Human Being, debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The digital copy of the album — which, like Shakur’s 1995 Me Against the World, will hit the top spot while Wayne is incarcerated

Em gonna be triple plat in a month.
All that defjam muscle and mega features and Ross ain’t even gold yet. That nigga flopped.
that boy Wayne sold more then Em. Greatest rapper alive
Dont know if you know this but Em’s album came out months ago. Bitty Wayne has been out for two weeks and he still only outsold a 3 month old album by 75,000 copies. This gap will be much closer next week and a week after that, Em will be back to outselling him. Also, Em has a single album that has sold more records than all of Waynes albums combined. Again, sorry, this is the truth.
wayne sold more than em only this week fool em gonna go triple platinum by years end wayne aint goin platinum. recovery come out months ago what u talkin out. an wayne aint even top 20

Top 5 list 1. Lil’ Wayne
2. Drake
3. Rick Ross
4. Rakim
5. DMX
I’m sorry but that is honestly the worst list by far i have ever seen in my life. Rakim is the only legit rapper. u dont have tupac, nas, eminem, biggie, big L. There are so many better rappers than lil wayne, drake, rick ross, and dmx i could name them all day
the only reason this is MAD funny is becauseRakim is in it. normally i can ignore bad lists… but seriously, Rakim Allah under those three.. AND u put him on ur list so that means u know him too… ok.
Rakim & DMX? HaHa, you mean:
4. Gucci Mane
5. Wacka Flocka Flame
funny when someone makes a list of his fav rappers, people respond criticizing him immediately and saying this shit not right and the only good rapper is that and that.
u just cant change the way a nigga listens to his music so stop and get a life please
fuck nigga he said top 5 not his favorite. stfu.
P.S. Thats a shitty list.
