      1. i agree its only because albums are not really selling streaming is where its at right now … sadly thats costing artist and seeing numbers like ross only selling 30k plus the first week is crazy but the streaming numbers is crazy high

    1. I agree they need to start putting the totals back on here with that said G Eazy is moving some units his album is fire!!

    2. Very simple you make good quality music people it will sell the consumer will actually spend money instead of stream ! Ross flop pusha flop GEazy got dam still selling having listened to the new Whiteboi but I might give it a go…. The Weeknd is pure fire he makes classic music !

    3. Stream Revenue: Artist make around $ .005 (half a penny) for every stream. If you stream an artist album; and that album has 10 songs; then that artist makes $ .05 (.005 x 10) (a nickel)…… Album Purchase Revenue: For arguments sake, let’s say after everyone takes their cut (Record label, distributor, managers, lawyers, producer, song writer, etc….), artist make 10% from an album sale. If album sales for $10, that is $1………….. You look at that and say $.05 for an album stream vs $1 for an album sale. But that album sale is a $1 one time income for life, vs album stream which is $.05 income every time that album is streamed. So if that fan streams your album 20 times during their LIFE, then that is equal to the one time album sale; albeit spread out over a much longer duration………..

    4. G Easy ain’t selling like drake , wayne , Kendrick , jay ect . You don’t hear him in clubs , events and the streets period . He’s sold a few records in the suburbs . That doesn’t make him hiphop . Foh DX staff wit these BS comments . # BlackCulture
