Lil Wayne is scheduled to release a different version of Tha Carter V on Friday (September 25). The original project arrived in 2018 after years of delays and legal troubles and boasted 23 songs featuring artists such as Ashanti, Nicki Minaj and the late XXXTENTACION.

Ahead of the forthcoming release, the tracklist for new Tha Carter V version has started making the rounds. Drake fans will be disappointed though; he’s not listed as a contributor — at least not officially. Instead, Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane and Post Malone help Wayne fill out the 10-track project.

Lil Wayne To Release 'Tha Carter V' Original Version This Week

Young Money president Mack Maine got fans hopes up earlier this week when he posted two photos of a lion with angel wings and another lion with a third eye in the middle of its forehead. When Drake and Weezy have collaborated in the past, Drake is typically referred to as Young Angel while Wayne is called Young Lion.

Nevertheless, the album is right around the corner and should whet the palates for Wayne fans everywhere.

Check out the cover art of what Wayne’s team has dubbed the “deluxe edition” and tracklist below.

    1. Wayne doesn’t have to release another album ever again. His contributions and position in music is cemented but man if his situation could be used as a case study as to how important timing is and how fast Hip Hop moves on to the next.

    2. I want to hear Eminem’s original Relapse 2. I wouldn’t want a 2020 Relapse 2. I put Relapse up there with the SSLP and MMLP. He’s at his best when he’s on that fictional, serial killer, slim shady, straight raps type shit. Also Relapse had some of the best Dr. Dre production. I think enough people want it for him to put it out.

        1. @hip hop Syllables is Encore era Em. Cocaine and Hit Me With Your Best Shot are def throwaways from Recovery, you can tell by the voice.

      1. Em and his army of dickless, dirtbag white boy Stans are coming for you.. he will lick your ass into submission and then ride your big black dicks into the dust .. he may even bring his husband Elton to assist him..

    3. All black rappers must get permission from em to make albums.. since he’s the greatest white rapper over 55’ .. from a trailer park, on meth, heroin, crack, pcp and percs.. and he loves black dick.. Wayne reach out to whitey and bow down.. or be kicked out of the hip hop that em owns..
