Gunplay doesn’t look like he’s going to be squashing his beef with DJ Envy anytime soon, now challenging the DJ to a boxing match.
During an interview with the We In Miami podcast, which shared a teaser on Sunday (June 11) ahead of Monday’s (June 12) full episode, the former MMG rapper made it clear that there’s no love lost between him and The Breakfast Club co-host.

“He didn’t realize, you know, that I’ll slap the shit outta him,” Gunplay said. “Yo, Envy, wassup? Put on the gloves. Let’s get it!”
After Gunplay confirmed that he’d be up for a boxing match with Envy, he added: “We could do it and raise some money for charity, or whatever. He took a jab at my daughter’s situation, and had my wife pretty hurt about it.”

Gunplay’s wife, Vonshae Taylor-Morales, who was also a guest on the show, weighed in on the controversy as well. “I’ve been seeing a therapist about all this,” she said. “Like, literally. I got the phone call from my father — my father listens to [The Breakfast Club] morning show — and he was like, ‘Is there a problem? Do I need to go up there about my granddaughter?’ And I’m like, what’s going on?”
She continued: “So I get on my daughter’s Instagram page and obviously, you know how trolls are, and they are coming crazy like, ‘Oh, you need to sign away your parental rights to Envy,” and I was very, very upset. It took me to a very traumatic space.”

Taylor-Morales also confirmed that she and Gunplay will be taking legal action against DJ Envy. “You need to learn your lesson,” she said. “You can’t just get onto this type of platform with your voice and your followers and say anything that you want. People come at you and not realize what you’re going through at that time.”
The beef between Gunplay and DJ Envy began last month when the radio DJ condemned Rick Ross for not publicly supporting Gunplay’s GoFundMe or helping take care of his child’s medical bills.

Gunplay wasn’t happy to have his name thrown in the mix and was very offended by the ricochet shot. He demanded an apology in a phone call to Envy — which Gunplay leaked online — and even threatened to get physical with Envy if that’s what the situation called for.
“Why you talking crazy? About me my brother,” Gunplay said on the call. “What I had to do with anything, and my wife posting a GoFundMe? My baby was sick. She had a heart defect. That has nothing to do with cars. You know I’ll slap the shit out you, boy! Envy, for real, you know I’ll slap the shit out of you, right?”

Envy responded: “We can fight, but that’s not the reason I’m saying that… I wasn’t trying to disrespect you. I wasn’t talking about your daughter. If you feel like you were disrespected, I’m talking to you like a man. I would never. If you feel I did, I apologize. That wasn’t my intention.”
The leak could potentially result in Gunplay facing up to five years in prison, as it’s against the law to record a person’s private phone call without their permission in the state of Florida.
Then, last week, Gunplay found himself on the receiving end of an online roasting after issuing a cease-and-desist letter to DJ Envy.
In a post that has since been deleted from his Instagram page, the Miami rapper shared he’d be letting his wife, Vonshae Taylor-Morales, “take it from here,” while posting a screenshot of his latest legal clap back.

“I married a PhD in criminology Karen ass Fed good luck I’mma let her take it from here buddy!,” the caption on the post read.
In the letter, the former MMG rapper argues that all of the drama — stemming from the radio host bringing up his newborn daughter’s GoFundMe page amid his car show feud with Rick Ross — has been detrimental to his mental health.
