Gunplay Puts DJ Envy On Blast With Leaked Phone Conversation

Gunplay has put DJ Envy on blast after posting a phone conversation between the two, where the former MMG rapper demanded an apology from the radio host for bringing up his newborn daughter’s GoFundMe page.

While engaging in his car show feud with Rick Ross last week, Envy condemned Rozay for not publicly supporting Gunplay’s GoFundMe or helping take care of his child’s medical bills.

Gunplay wasn’t happy to have his name thrown in the mix and was very offended by the ricochet shot. He demanded an apology on their phone call posted on Monday (May 29) and even threatened to get physical with Envy if that’s what the situation called for.

“Why you talking crazy? About me my brother. What I had to do with anything, and my wife posting a GoFundMe? My baby was sick. She had a heart defect. That has nothing to do with cars. You know I’ll slap the shit out you, boy! Envy, for real, you know I’ll slap the shit out of you, right?

Envy responded: “We can fight, but that’s not the reason I’m saying that… I wasn’t trying to disrespect you. I wasn’t talking about your daughter. If you feel like you were disrespected, I’m talking to you like a man. I would never. If you feel I did, I apologize. That wasn’t my intention.”

Check out the phone conversation below:

Gunplay also demanded Envy make a public apology when he gets back to The Breakfast Club this week. “My wife is affected by that,” he continued. “We sat in that hospital for 28 days. That shit was some real shit. It ain’t even about the money.

“My wife is in panic mode. I told her to chill but it’s cool. We did a GoFund Me — that’ ain’t nothing so don’t bring my child into this my n-gga because then we gon’ be having bad blood, dog.”

Envy repeatedly apologized and explained that he “fucks” with Gunplay and he plans on clearing the air over their issues publicly at some point.

Gunplay’s partner posted a GoFundMe for their daughter who underwent emergency heart surgery in February and they’ve since raised over $30,000 in the time since.

Meanwhile, tension between Envy and Rozay started earlier this month when the MMG mogul took a swipe at the Breakfast Club co-host during his interview on Drink Champs, declaring he was “never on my level” when it comes to hosting car shows.

After light jabs were exchanged, things quickly became personal when Rick Ross dragged DJ Envy’s family into the feud, requesting he and his girlfriend and children clean his swimming pool.

Envy fired back last week by donning a police uniform and doing an “Officer Ricky” impression on The Breakfast Club, taking shots at Ross’ past stint as a correctional officer, which has remained a contentious point of discussion throughout his career.

    1. Damn getting check by a coke head that’s endorsed by a turtle. Life gonna humble you down envy rep Queens better we don’t tolerate disrespect.

    2. Gunplay? His brother? What brother don’t go to you and say here bro take this money I got you? Ricky is a whole black yahoodi and Gunplay don’t deserve no help from regular people either. Check his IG clip farting out his yuck mouth bout him not being able to care about your dead kid. That’s called being real apparently. Gunplay got that santeria karma on him LOL

    3. “and they’ve since raised over $30,000 in the time since. “ what a well written gossip article. You sir, are a journalist.

    4. Gunplay is slow. Envy was clearly saying how is Ross your brother when he won’t throw you a poker chip??? Gunplay the type of dude that road rage with you when you stop at the light and tell him his gas tank door open…

      1. Dont play with people kids when they almost died. thought Envy dont play about family? this what happens when you bring Fif, things get serious and Envy goes to the cops lol

      2. Jay, I watch the video two times and not once did envy said anything about his daughter or wife. He only meant the gofundme and how if gunplay Rick Ross brother. Why didn’t he help him. So I dont know if you see or heard something different but I didn’t heard anything about his daughter or wife. Paid attention

    5. This type of stuff is exactly why I just can’t be a fan of hiphop overall anymore. Look at these two 40 plus year old dudes making fools of themselves. It’s weird that I used to be so invested in malarkey like this. Wake me up when Nas, Ye, Cole, Jay, or Drake drop an album or when Pac comes back from Cuba. Other than that, I’m good on this bullshit culture. I’ll be in my room bumping 90’s R&B.

    6. “ Envy responded: “We can fight, but that’s not the reason I’m saying that… ”

Translation: not physically fight but bicker on the phone. Both dudes corny, but Envy cornier. Gunplay would lay him out. I know kids in high school that could put Envy to sleep. And his post standing next to 50 was softer than pouched baby snacks. Like how are you a boss, get into confrontation and run off to another boss on some “he bullying me, let’s unite and take a pic and show him what we made of cuz🥹

    8. Kinda lame on Gunplay part to record it. It only proves Envy point even more. He tried to make it seem as if he punked or embarrassed Envy when in reality he only embarrassed himself.
