A past feud between Funkmaster Flex and Bow Wow is showing signs of heating up once more after the pair traded insults online this week. The veteran drive-time New York DJ threw the latest shot first in putting down Bow Wow’s music, which prompted the rapper to respond in kind.
Tuesday evening, Flex tweeted out the following: “FYI- Bowwow is Fucking finished out here! FACTS! His records is trash! Basura!”
Bow Wow didn’t take the shot laying down, and returned fire by posting a poll on Twitter captioned, “Are New Yorkers tired of funk flex on @HOT97 ?”
The final results had 63% of the 3,340 people who voted picking “Yes” in the poll, with the rest going for the “I don’t know who that is” option. The pair’s beef originally started in 2015 when an article on Flex’s website called to attention that a mansion Bow Wow claimed to have purchased was allegedly rented.
Flex didn’t keep the scope aimed solely on Bow Wow, and called out what he referred to as “Internet Rappers” including the likes of Tyler, The Creator, Trinidad James and others.
