Coke Boys 6 is the latest entry in French Montana’s beloved Coke Boys mixtape series that began in 2010. The last Coke Boys project to was CB5 which dropped in November 2020.
Unfortunately, French’s new tape didn’t come without controversy. Hours before its midnight release, his music video shoot in Miami was marred by gunfire, leaving as many as 10 people injured — among them Rob49, who’s featured on the album.
According to 7 News Miami, the shooting took place outside The Licking restaurant in Miami Gardens, Florida on Thursday night (January 5) where the two rappers were filming a video.

Four victims were airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center, with one of them listed in critical condition. Other victims transported themselves to the hospital while there’s no report on Rob49’s condition. So far, no deaths have been reported.
A witness told TMZ French Montana’s security escorted him out of the area safely and without incident. Another witness named Ced Mogul, who was among those watching the video shoot, said someone in the crowd was robbed of his watch, keys and wallet before the shots rang out.
“[He asked to] call his mother and see if we can get spare car keys and make sure, you know, he’s OK, and then the gunshots went off,” Mogul said. “It was, like, at least 13, 14, 15 gunshots. It was very rapid, it sounded like an assault rifle.”

He added: “I took off running, and I was looking back, but I was like, ‘You know what? Let me just duck first, and then people started asking me, you know, ‘Can you help me?’ When I realized people were asking for help, there was nothing you could do about it when you got shot.”
