Freddie Gibbs To Guest Star In Peacock Comedy Series ‘Bust Down’

Like Snoop Dogg and Kevin Hart, Freddie Gibbs is in the process of becoming a fixture in newly emerging programming at streaming network Peacock.

On Friday (January 28), Peacock released the trailer for their upcoming sitcom Bust Down, staring the show’s creators Sam Jay of PAUSE with Sam Jay, Saturday Night Live comedian Chris Red, Insecure actor Langston Kerman and Jak Knight who appears in ABC’s Black-ish.

With a plot based on the four friends who all appear to be working dead-end jobs in the mundane suburbs of Middle America, the entire premiss of Bust Down is centered around the “Absurdity” of their everyday lives as a group and the resulting fallout — all while being portrayed through the unique lens of the modern Black experience.

“We believe true equality is being able to make a show about nonsense the same way white people have been doing forever,” the creators of Bust Down said in a statement provided by NBC. “We just wanted to make something so fucking hilarious that it makes people laugh so much that they miss jokes and then have to circle back to watch again.”

Along with the trailer, Peacock released first-look images of Bust Down which includes the appearance of the likeness of 2x-HipHopDX Rap Album Of The Year award-winner Freddie Gibbs who is also currently working on his upcoming SSS album which is set to include production from the likes of Pharrell, Madlib, Alchemist, Boi-1da, Jake One, DJ Paul and more.

Both Snoop Dogg and Kevin Hart have also announced additional upcoming productions with the streaming media company including Snoop Dogg’s solo series based on clowning the world’s dumbest crooks, and their joint-venture comedy sports news show.

    1. It’s finally coming to light that Gangsta Gibbs ain’t really the gangsta he claim to be. Ak played him, Jimmy put him on blast, and now he getting comfy in Hollywood. His father’s police and his brother’s a doctor. All that sh*t is cool, that’s what we need more of, and Freddie is most definitely a dope artist, but he not the gangsta he claim like he was born in the set and into circumstance.

      1. Huh. I don’t see that. It’s too many gangstas and gangsta rapper that play in comedy roles! I don’t see the connections!

      2. And what’s the alternative? Being a “real dead” gangsta so a person like you can sit on the internet and say they’re real?

      3. Big D aka Big Dumbass, it sounds like you’re more invested in that man’s life than your own. Do us a favor, mind your business, and shut the fuck up. Stop living life on the internet.

    2. Much respect to Gibbs for elevating himself. Hiphop is the core, but why not branch off into Hollywood and get them check$. People can hate on him but if they were able to do what he’s doing, they’d jump at the opportunity too. PS… no one really knows what happened in Miami and that’s the way that it should stay

    3. David Banner was a gangsta but he portrayed different characters on tv and movies! He was on a lot of comedy shows and movies too! You can be a gangsta and be a character in a show.

      1. Piñata and Bandana are classics that never get old. Gibbs is lyrically gifted and can flow over any of those dope ass Madlib beats. These two dudes make one hell of a combination
