Flo Rida is suing energy drink company Celsius for allegedly cutting him out of profits.

The “Right Round” rapper and his attorney appeared on CNBC’s Squawk Box on Monday (January 9), and explained that he feels he popularized the product he got behind in 2014 but hasn’t seen the commission he is owed for it.

“Well this started back in 2014. I was asked to be the brand ambassador for Celsius,” Flo explained. “I mean, this was a young company out of the state of Florida, and myself, I thrive on health. Since being in ninth grade, all I did was love fitness knowing that health is really wealth. So I was in this thing for the long haul, and basically when it came down to getting compensated…

“It was a time during the pandemic where I got to sit down and really check out all my business endeavors,” he continued. “And this one in particular, I check it out and they were telling me that one of the products I was endorsing wasn’t selling and I got a chance to look at it and it was doing more than well.”

Flo Rida went on to run down his track record for having the Midas touch, explaining how he introduced the world to the likes of Lady Gaga, Sia and Ke$ha.

“This product has done over tens and tens of millions of dollars since I joined the company,” he added.

The suit was filed in May of 2021 and Flo Rida is currently seeking $30k+ in damages.

This isn’t Flo’s first experience with the court system. Back in 2018, the rapper was ordered to continue paying $9,000 a month in child support payments for his son Zohar – who he’d previously referred to as a “devil child.” He also had to come up with another $50,000 for the child’s mother’s legal fees.

Months prior, Flo made headlines when he referred to the disabled 2-year-old boy as a “devil child” and claimed he was “evil.” Zohar suffers from numerous health issues, including hydrocephalus, a neurological condition that required the child to undergo surgery.

A month later, a judge denied Flo’s attorney’s request to throw out the case.
