Fat Joe has revealed which two fallen rappers he would bring to life if he could, but not for the sake of musical collaborations.
During his recent appearance on Red Table Talk, Joe fielded questions from a handful of fans, one of which asked if there is anyone he wishes he could bring back to life.

“If it’s just music, it would be Biggie and Big Pun,” Fat Joe answered. “Oh my God, these guys died so young. And they were my good friends, my brothers. My best time at life was when I discovered Pun and we went through everything.
“Biggie was my brother since day one too,” he continued. “Such a beautiful guy. He didn’t have to pass away. It’s really sad.”

Fat Joe’s friendship with Big Pun developed after Terror Squad boss discovered the late Puerto Rican rapper and welcomed him as a guest on the single “Watch Out,” from his 1995 album Jealous One’s Envy. During an IG Live conversation with Timbaland and Swizz Beatz last year, Joe shared that his friendship with Biggie almost led the two to release a joint album together.
Earlier this year, Fat Joe also revealed that he was the force behind Bone Thugs-N-Harmony‘s appearance on Biggie’s “Notorious Thugs,” a fact which Layzie Bone confirmed.
While the two late New York Hip Hop legends never had the opportunity to work together before their untimely deaths, Big Pun was featured on the song “Get Your Grind On” from Biggie’s posthumous project Duets:The Final Chapter. The song opens with an interview in which Pun revealed that he dreamt of performing a duet with Big in heaven.
Fat Joe’s Red Table Talk interview was timed to support the release of his memoir The Book of Jose, which is due out on November 15.

During the chat, Fat Joe also shared details about a private conversation he had with Kanye West shortly after the Yeezy mogul landed himself in hot water with his anti-Semitic beliefs.
“I’ll tell y’all something. I was up a whole night going over what he said, and I was just like, ‘Damn. Man, he really did it this time,’” Joe said of Ye’s comments. “And so I was just thinking about it and how he hurt people with his statements and his comments. He really said some terrible things. And this morning, on the way here, I came out my hotel. The door opened, and it was Kanye West by himself.”
