Talk centered around Nas’ comment for some time after he declared that Hip Hop had died. Cries for and against “Hip Hop is Dead” were deafening. Now, Necro is revisiting the discussion, adding his own take on the situation, as he prepares the release of his new album, DIE!, slated to drop May 18.
“Like Nas said, Hip Hop is dead. Well if it died, then I am what it would be if it came back to life,” he recently said in a press release.
Necro fans can expect the first single, “The Human Traffic King (White Slavery Pt. 2),” pn the album, one that also includes “The Kink Panther” and “Sorcerer of Death’s Construction.” Both of those songs will be released as singles in the future. Visuals are being shot for “Kink” and “Death” as well. This album, he says, will rival the success he had with Death Rap.
“Death Rap raised the bar, and I think I succeeded in competing with it,” he noted.
The album, which will be released through Universal/Fontana, will be completely produced by Necro himself.
In other news, Queens, New York-based producer Ayatollah (Mos Def, G-Unit, R.A. The Rugged Man) has another album releasing next Tuesday, The Quixotic. The release is compromised of beats made entirely on ‘Tollah’s MPC 60 II, a module that was discontinued over 16 years ago.
With instrumentals mostly, the Tollah Music release does include an appearance from Brand Nubian’s Sadat X. “By far, this is my most personal record to date. The music and sounds I chose really describe what going on at this point in my life,” said Ayatollah.
2 super slept on producers. ayatollah and necro. cop both.

his beats are dope but everything else is straight up garbage
Stick to freestyling and beat making NEcro leave ILL BIll with the mike
Agreed. Its been 10 years of this shit. Does dude even produce for anybody besides Bill now?
Just because the subject matter doesn’t appeal to you doesn’t mean He’s wack on the mic.
Necro is a technically sound MC, his multi’s are insane and his flow gets better and better by the track.
Dude’s a beast.

The videos for “The Kink Panther” & “Sorcerer Of Death’s Construction” have already been filmed, they’re being edited at the moment.
Necro said he’ll be dropping two more singles before the album’s released, I think Kink Panther will be the next single.
DIE! is gonna be a front-to-back banger.
