Drake’s ticket prices for his It’s All a Blur Tour with 21 Savage have spawned a class-action lawsuit against Ticketmaster.
According to the Toronto Star, a Montreal man has accused the ticketing giant of price gouging, claiming that after purchasing two “Official Platinum” seats for Drizzy’s July 14 show at Canada’s Bell Centre for $789.54 each, the price for the same seats plummeted to $350 the next day following the 6 God’s announcement of a second show.

The suit, which was filed by the law firm LPC Advocat Inc., claims that Ticketmaster “intentionally misleads consumers for their own financial gain.” The suit also alleges that the company was aware Drake would perform two nights in Montreal, but intentionally “concealed this information” to “squeeze” money out of fans.
However, LPC Advocat needs the suit to be approved by the Quebec Superior Court if it is to become a class-action complaint. If the motion succeeds, the suit will seek $300 in punitive damages for each customer who joins the suit, as well as compensatory damages aimed at covering “the difference between prices charged for ‘Official Platinum’ tickets and what their regular prices out to have been.”

“Ticketmaster unilaterally decides which tickets it advertises and sells as ‘Official Platinum’ based on a given event,” the suit reads. “The result is that most, if not all, of the tickets advertised and sold as ‘Official Platinum’ are neither ‘premium tickets’ nor ‘some of the best seats in the house’ and are, in fact, just regular tickets sold by Ticketmaster at an artificially inflated premium in bad faith.”
The suit comes after Drake added 14 more dates to his summer trek with 21 Savage due to high ticket demand.
The tour kicks off on June 16 in New Orleans and swings through cities including Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas, before wrapping up on September 5 in Glendale, Arizona.
Additional shows have since been announced, with second stops in Houston, Dallas, Miami, Detroit, Montreal, Washington, D.C., Seattle, Vancouver, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Las Vegas.

Thirds shows have also been scheduled at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, New York’s Madison Square Garden and Inglewood’s Kia Forum, bringing the tour to a massive 42 shows.
Fans were immediately infuriated by the cost of the Cash App Card and Sprite presale tickets, which began a few days before general tickets went on sale to the public.
“These Drake ticket prices are outrageous,” one person tweeted, while another referenced Chris Brown giving fans lap dances on stage by writing: “Drake concert tickets are 1k??? he better chris brown me on dat stage.”
Fans were similarly shocked after Beyoncé announced her high-priced tickets for her Renaissance Tour, which kicks off in Sweden on May 10.
