Drake has seemingly confirmed that his leaked diss record, “Push Ups (Drop and Give Me 50),” is real, following speculation regarding its authenticity.
The 6 God took to Instagram late on Saturday (April 13), and shared a photo from the film Kill Bill in which Uma Thurman is surrounded by knife-wielding assassins.
The photo seems to be a reference to the line on “Push Ups (Drop and Give Me 50),” where he raps: “What the fuck is this, a 20-v-1, n-gga?/ What’s a prince to a king? He a son, n-gga.”
HipHopDX has confirmed that the song was sent out to DJs through a blast service on Saturday which identified it as an official OVO Sound release. A second blast arrived Sunday (April 14) with clean and instrumental versions of the track.
The rapper also shared a screenshot of a text message conversation with his mother, where she asked if he got a nose job.
He replied: “…It’s coming from Rick Ross the guy I did songs with he’s gone loopy off the Mounjaro he hasn’t eaten in days and it’s turned him angry and racist he’s performing at proms for money it’s bad don’t worry we’ll handle it.”
The bar-heavy joint hit the internet on Saturday, and it addresses a number of Drizzy’s ongoing beefs. This includes attacks on Kendrick Lamar in particular, who kickstarted the drama with his verse on Future and Metro Boomin‘s “Like That” last month.
While the voice on said track sounds like the Canadian superstar, it wasn’t entirely clear if it was authentic or generated by artificial intelligence. The subject matter pertained directly to the many beefs the 37-year-old is currently negotiating.
“You better do that motherfuckin’ show inside the bitty/ Maroon 5 need a verse, you better make it witty/ Then we need a verse for the Swifties,”Drake raps, referring to K.Dot’s previous crossovers into pop music.
Additionally, the song also takes shots at J. Cole (who recently withdrew from the war of words) and Rick Ross while suggesting that SZA deserves a spot in the Big 3 more than Kendrick. Later on Saturday, a slightly different version of the song leaked as well.
Earlier this week, prior to the most recent shots fired at him, Joe Budden claimed that Drizzy and K.Dot were both in the process of preparing nuclear diss songs as part of their ongoing beef. On an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast published in early April, the media personality kicked things off by hyping the budding rivalry.
7/10 diss
Thats too high. Way too many cat in the hat bars and no haymakers. Only dope line was the Metro making drums line but even that sentence was weak and can be rebuttled quickly by comparing drums to gun sounds… anyway, Kendrick bout to show what a real diss look like. But I dont think anybody involved can drop a classic like No Vaseline or Hit Em Up.
Wheres Pusha T when we need him. Lol
Kendrick gonna do what he always does: drop something incredibly mid, and y’all will hype it up as the next ether.
The dude above me knows what’s up. Yall fake woke (probably white) kids will act like kendricks the best while he’s obviously average to mediocre at best.
That text to his mama is some weirdo shit, lol.
its a fake text he sent to himself. desperate shit
When you consider comeback season came out in 2007, the hits he’s given, the features he’s given, the ability to tap into different pockets and the fact that 6God does not rap about shooting up the block, drinking lean, selling dope or any other fairy tale stories most of the hiphop artist lie about. Drake is the GOAT of this generation. My Top 5 Goats are: Pac, Nas, Drake, Big, and Kanye.
Drake is pop
Drake is talented, but he’s done a lot of that stupid shit you say he hasn’t. I think it comes down to that these other rappers fell for the I’m honored just to meet you and rock with you speech he gave them because most rappers aren’t very bright, but Drake was always a calculated dude. You could see that way back in 2007/2008 before he ever got his deal and was imagining himself as a star and trying to create a wave before he found his formula as a turned up dirty version of Will Smith 25 years later. They also wanted to ride that train once it left the station, and people making excuses for why they kept rocking with him despite hating him sound stupid. He and Wayne barely collaborate despite their chemistry and it being monetarily beneficial to Wayne at one time, but Wayne didn’t hug his nuts even as he declined from his peak pop relevance. Meanwhile, these dudes are on every project and have him on theirs. So they have to own it.
Goat means greatest of all time. How are you going to have a goat per generation. This site caters to dummies and trolls
^^^ This niccas preaching but 15 year old don’t want to hear the truth
I farted
One thing about Drake is he will never duck a rap beef.
Stop lying. He havent said Pushas name once after Story of Adidon.
You still talking about Pusha where the mafacker at? While you still talking bout Drake,
I like you use your real initial now and not there
He hasn’t responded to pusha because he’s raising the kid that pusha called him out for. What’s he going to say in a rap beef? “Now i’m doing the thing you called me out for not doing”?????
dope diss and can someone explain Ross involvement for me? Didn’t he use to dck ride drake for a verse? Why the switch up?
u guys dropped the ball and are behind on this. seemingly confirms? akademik’s played the official song on his stream and it’s been confirmed since then that record is authentic.
Joe Budden put out that diss song. IT’S A.I
