The OVO Sound boss did miss out on the two top prizes of the night, though, losing out on Top Artist to Taylor Swift and Top Male Artist to controversial country music star Morgan Wallen.
Despite missing out on the biggest prizes, Drake is now tied with Taylor Swift for most Billboard Music Award wins in history, with both artists on 39.
It was also a big night for Nicki Minaj, who won Top Female Rap Artist for the first time. She had previously won Top Rap Artist in 2013 before the gendered categories were introduced in 2018.
In her acceptance speech, Nicki thanked her fans by saying: “Thank you to the Billboard Music Awards for presenting me with the best female rap award of 2023. Barbz, you are amazing. I appreciate you so much.”
