    1. Please haters don’t hate on a legend! Go comment on that Meek/Drake beef. I know you little kids going to say some stupid like he’s not relevant, the soundtrack is wack, he old, he gay, he don’t don’t do his own beats, etc.

    2. Dr Is A Big Legend-there Aint No Way Cube, dogg,em,game And Kendrick To Mention A Few Wont Salute Him,and If They Do,dats Hip Hop Salute

    3. lol @ being inspired to make new music by that movie, more like inspired to cash out again, WHERE DETOX AT

      1. You’re an idiot. Do you really think Dre needs to make another album to “cash out”? Wow you should think before you type.

    4. WOW this is going to be better than Detox… This is going to sound like Chronic 2001.. Exactly what all dre fans have been waiting for… You think he just came up with these beats?? ha these are all classics that went unused.. and he just found a perfect Opportunity to bring them back for us. LETS GO!!!

      1. Like YES said, we been knowing about that. That’s no secret. Sounds like you found out those three used ghost writers yesterday or some shit.

    5. Hopefully it’s good musc, but I don’t follow the Dre hype train. I think he’s about 90% branding and 10% substance. He doesn’t write his own raps. He doesn’t produce his own beats. Jimmy iovine masterminded Beats headphones, and he doesn’t even DJ the Songs on “his” radio station. Plus he’s not a real Dr. (Jk)

    6. I’ve been waiting since 2007 for this Album. This is going to be amazing. Perfect timing before the film comes out. I just don’t think Dre was focused enough for Detox. Losing your son can do that. I really hope this album represents Dre and Compton in a more positive way than the N.W.A. days and hope he sort of goes the Kendrick route. This album is going to be amazing. Dre is my favorite hip hop artist and I hope that he and Gary Gray got this thing right. What a way to end the summer. My patience has paid off. Already Classic !

    7. Dr. Dre is legendary.. and overlooking these comments below I realize that no matter what you do people find any possible fuckin way to discredit you… minus Dre out the game and wtf do you have?? No snoop, dpg, eminem, kendrick etc i have a question for you little haters.. what have you done for hip hop? For music in general? What have you done with your life, period? That last question is because half of you cant even spell? Dre, you that guy man legend in the flesh thank you

    8. Dre back at it. It may not live up to the 10+ year hype, but I’m sure it will still be incredible.

    9. Now its time to get EXCITED! Hell Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can’t wait.. King Kendrick on 3 of them mugs.. got my bishes Marsha and Jill? both are my fav females singers.. U got Xzibit, Snoop and Em.. Got damn!!!!!! Only thing missing is Hitman, 50, Dogg pound, Lady Rage, Truth Hurts, Quik and RBX smh

      1. I mean, I hope it’s not actually gonna be his grand finale. Maybe this drop will bring more inspiration.

      2. i think its a good trick sayin thats his finale cuz he can now rest and take all the pressure of.People like dre cant just dont work.He still gonn make music.I feel like hes gettin at least another one album in his career

    10. I think it’s good that he scrapped Detox because that album could have become the Chinese Democracy of Hip Hop albums. Too long a wait and too much hype behind it.

    11. I always respected Dr. Dre as a producer but his history of physically abusing women entitles him to an azz whoopn.

    12. Old washed up bitch is going to flop hard. No one cares about his shitty headphones anymore. I also find it hypocritical trashes drake for using ghostwriters yet supports the one who advocates ghostwriters the most, dr dre.

      1. Please. This album will be a huge success. And people obviously care about the headphones if they’re still buying them.

    13. All guests. No real solo track. Studio gangster, make the west look bad. We musn’t forget royce wrote the message for dre, his most personal track. What a clown.

      1. “All guests. No real solo track.” Newflash nigga: Dr. Dre has never released an album that didn’t have guest artists on every track. Check The Chronic: All guest, no real solo track.
2001: All guest, no real solo track. Its pretty much a given that his albums are gonna be full of guest on every track.

Not even gonna bother addressing the rest of YOUR clown ass remarks on dre. smh

      2. Serious fail. If this guy didn’t say it then I would of done. I’m guessing you’re young and uneducated so I’ll let you off

    14. NO TYGA? OMG NO TYGA? FUCK THIS ALBUM! I would fuck wit dis album if there was at least yg but without yg and tyga this album gonna flop

      1. u a retard! anyone knows what TYGA has done for Compton! he had to put TYGA because TYGA put Compton on the map! He’s the only real rapper coming from our small town for many years! he’s the only reason I fuck with Wayne and YMCMB

      2. These have to be troll posts. Tyga’s not even from Compton, he’s from the Valley. How can he put a city on the map that he isn’t even from?

    15. As long as I remember correctly, it’s Jon Connor – not John. And using Beats headphones for any kind of music is just retarted if you have any ear for quality.

    16. Dre’s old and washed up. He used to be dope over at death row before falling off when he founded aftermath. Suge Knight was the main reason for dre’s success. Dre will flop hard with this.

      1. Falling off?? the man has been behind some of the most successful musicians in the game Snoop Dogg Eminem D12 G-Unit Game Joel Ortiz Kendrick Lamar and the whole tde for starters and the list goes on Beats by Dre is featured on the Monopoly empire edition board game before he sold it to Apple to be come a billionaire the first black billionaire out of the hip hop culture their is only 24 hours in a day ….I wouldn’t call that falling of I would call that evolution

      2. Suge Knight had nothing to do with Dre’s success. Hell, Dre became successful without him. Look at where Suge Knight is at now. He’s running people over and can’t stay out of jail while Dre is becoming a billionaire. If you think this Compton album will flop, then you’re delusional as fuck.

      3. More like they threw themselves in front of that car to commit suicide. Dr dre would have been broke if suge hadn’t signed him to death row.

      4. That’s a lie. Besides, Suge Knight didn’t sign Dre since Dre is one of the owners of that label. Either way, Suge is irrelevant now.

      5. Suge still did a lot more than you ever did. Also, Suge was the one to approach dre with the idea of a label. NWA was bombing (the straight outta compton film will bomb too) and dr dre was about to be homeless.

      6. Suge was not the one to approach Dre about starting a label. Suge was holding everyone back and caused Death Row’s fall. NWA wasn’t bombing, they were succeeding, and Dre wasn’t gonna be homeless. When did you decided to stick up for Suge Knight, who’s basically a criminal and an extortionist bully? The Straight Outta Compton movie will never bomb, it’s one of the most anticipated movies of the year. It will be a success.

    17. I think c.m.w dj quik yg and m.c. ren should’ve been on this album 2 they put Compton on the map 2 besides n.w.a

    18. Ya’ll are ridiculous, hatin just to hate for no damn reason… SMFH!!!

PS Tyga is garbage though!! LMAO!

    19. One feature which would have been dope would to have brought out some unreleased Nate Dogg vocals…I’m imagining Nate on the hook of ‘Talking to my Diary’…like a 2015 the message. Oh well can’t get everyone and track list looks sick !!

    20. @Dan
Your a square for not respecting one of the best producer Ever in hiphop/gangsta rap. What ever you want to call it. Your kids kids will know who Dr.Dre is.

      1. He doesn’t even produce or write himself but hires people to serve as ghost writers and producers and then dre takes the credit.

      2. Wrong, I don’t care about the pop they serve as hiphop. Real hiphop can be found in artists like gunplay.

    21. LMFAO Dre gave Game his own song, but left Curtis 5-0 Jackson off the album completely! HAHAHAHAHA the SNITCH 50 Cent keeps taking L’s. Nobody respects that fraud.

      1. hum ny 50 on a Compton album yeah ok…………..50 said he never recorded for the album so how can he be left off ?#DICKRIDER

    22. Tyga must have pissed so many people off even wack artists like Dr dre aren’t giving this poser any attention. No one cares about Justus or jon Connor by the way.

    23. Nowadays everybody wanna talk like they got something to say
But nothing comes out when they move their lips
      Just a bunch of gibberish
And motherfuckers act like they forgot about Dre

      1. YOu do realize you are being hypocritical right since you complain of french montana having too many guests but defend dre.

      2. You missed the point. Dre is a producer first. He never claimed to be the best rapper alive. French Montana is just a rapper.

      1. 1. 2pac wasn’t Dre’s artist. 2. He wasn’t “taken out like a bitch.” How does someone get taken out like a bitch?

      2. Who’s 2 bitch? I’ve heard of 2Pac. Besides, there’s no such thing as dying like a man or bitch, you’re dead either way. The real bitch is the person who shot 2Pac. Anyone who participates in a drive-by is a bitch and no one deserves to die that way.

      3. How is dying from a drive-by shotting dying like a bitch? That’s disrespectful to people who died that way, including Biggie.

    24. Who the fuck are these people ? Is this a fucking R&B record or what? Why, in, the FUCK would an NWA album NOT have an NWA song on it? Can Ren and Yella get a fucking check, you greedy fuck??

      1. Like Nas been said Hip-Hop is dead! The fans have no respect for the music. It’s all about opinions about their personal life. The crazy thing is people complain and hate on music they don’t even pay for or even listen to with a clear mind. Going to listen to 2-5 songs and get on the message board and say it’s wack. Lol

    25. Black people always hatin on black people…no matter what you say Dr Dre is a legend…If he doesn’t produce his on shit… where are those producers, why are they not famous or doing well…

    26. Who wanna bet that Dr Dre ‘Compton: A Soundtrack’ AKA his “final album” is gonna be weak? Dre is trying to sneak out the backdoor and not answer for ‘Detox’. This is literally the ‘Straight Outta Compton’ soundtrack and now Dre’s slapping his name on it and passing it off as a complete album, but being careful enough to still call it ‘Compton: A Soundtrack’. I see what he did there. And if it doesn’t measure up to The Chronic or Chronic 2001, people will be like, “Well technically it’s the soundtrack to the film.”

I wish this man just lock into the studio with Snoop, Daz, Kurupt, Eminem, RBX, Xzibit and Lady of Rage and don’t come out until he has something that will properly follow-up Chronic 2001 and make it truly worth the wait. Clearly, I’m skeptical on this new material. lol. We’ll see August 7th what it’s all about.

      1. Uhm… he did answer for Detox. He said it wasn’t perfect. After all those years he listened to it and it just didn’t sound right. Which is what worries me about this album. So many years working on Detox and it never sounded right but manages pull ‘COMPTON’ outta nowhere?

    27. nice to see dre doin’ shit again but why the fukk is it called “Compton”? Mr. Wanksta has a track 4 himself there! funny! he’s made a soundtrack 4 a nwa film without a nwa song…

    28. All I wanna know is why M.C Ren dj Yella and D.J Quick aren’t on the album that’s fucked up right there

    29. Gay track list dre, need to link more good artists on each song. Why the fuck is Em not on a track with Xzibit? Who the fuck is king mez?

      1. You didn’t create the music!! Everybody don’t fit on a song!!!Why do people try and act like they know about creating music? Stick to just listening to the music.

    30. Big dre fan, but half the niggas on the joint i never heard of! King Mez?! fuck is that? This shit remind me of when dre dropped the aftermath album in 96, bunch of newcomers and r&b joints. Get back to that chronic and 2001 shit and then you can call it a grand finale OG

      1. Chronic 2001 came out in ’99!It’s 2016 and you talking about get back to that Chronic and 2001 shit? Dre an OG man. Don’t knowbody want to hear that gangsta shit. If I want that I can go back and listen to those classics. It’s a New Era homie.

    31. I never heard of half these people on the album.. should’ve put mc eiht and dj quik on the album.

      1. They don’t fit!!! Why do you idiots think any artist you want on the album should just be on there for the sake of the name? They not on the song Bc they just don’t fit in the song. The subject matter might not require them to be featured. Dr.Dre has never even done anything with MC Eight. They never had a relationship ever. lol You guys are lost when it comes to music. You judge music by names. Just respect his music and listen with an open ear. The album haven’t even dropped and people complaint. Plus people don’t even pay for it. Why complain about something you know you not going to even buy?

      2. You should give some new artists a listen then , cube, snoop,em,king mez, jon connor are all on the record so it’s going to be a great one

      3. No one had ever heard of Snoop Doggy Dogg, RBX, The Lady of Rage, Kurupt, Daz, or Nate Dogg in 1992, either.

    32. Dre got yal niggaz crying like bitches. looking at the meal like…. that’s not my favorite chicken??? Why didn’t stir the potato salad for 10 minutes instead of 12??? Is the macaroni yellow enough??? Why don’t I have 3 different choices of hot sauce for these greens???

    33. I just hope my nigha Dre doesn’t disappoint us. He’s 2 for 2 so I don’t think he will. Especially since it’s coming out around the time the movie does as well. I’m looking forward to this.

    34. I can tell you are a bunch of YOUNG, DUMB BRAIN WASHED IDIOTS! you guys sit there and say…. “who’s this, whos that” “I never heard of them” “why are they on the track” BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! LITTLE do you young F*KS know that the 2001 Chronic was kind of the same way…. Devin The Dude, Hittman, Six-Two, Traci Nelson, Ms. Roq, Mel-Man, Charis Henry, Defari, Time Bomb and Rell….. yeah those people were on it but because you guys heard Em, Kurupt, Snoop, Dre and so on you didn’t think about it. DRE knows what the F*K he is doing, that’s why all he does is MAKE $$$$!!! all you little young F*KS need to LEARN music and stop riding DI*KS of SINGERS (NOT RAPPERS) that make ONE HIT songs! DRE makes Classic ALBUMS!!!!

      1. Man consign that!! They just don’t respect the music. It’s already wack to them Bc they making themselves believe it by looking at names on a track list. It’s just refreshing to hip-Hop to get an album from a Legend.#80sbaby

    35. This is going to shake the hiphop music foundation! People will get an u derstanding of what greatness is. All these rappers making music from there house with that shit sound quality are in for a reality check… Theyre trash #Compton

    36. sit back and listen the movie will be epic and the soundtrack will sell millions. Dr.dre never would release a album that wont sell. it’s all about production for me I can’t wait to hear it.BTW none of you ever heard of hittman either until chronic 2001 came out and he killed it on like 6 tracks on the album.

    37. you just know this is gonna be crazy, looking forward to hear what the lesser known artists bring to the table, a little disappointed not to see The Game anywhere on there though to be honest, but oh well!

      1. i listed to it moron. its f#cking awful. and 2001 was already a disappointment. he hasn’t done anything good since the death row days.

    38. Its streaming already live out here.. For u dumb asses who don’t know how to stream live.. For half the album with new cats, its banging… Y’all act like dre hasn’t done this before.. First album with a bunch of new talent. ( Kurupt Snoop Daz RBX Rage ) 2001 Eminem Hitman Xzibit Six-Two Knock-Turn-Al Kokane ect. Dre known for mixing in the new talent with the ogz… Check the files rookies…

    39. I’m in South Africa and seriously can’t wait to download this album when I wake up!! The time’s 02h40 here now..

      1. Nigga, you live in South Africa. You should worry about real shit like getting a job and not dying than a fuckin album. Shows where your priorities are, you sad fuck nigga.

      2. Also from SA, I was waiting too LOL downloaded the torrent at 5am. My 12year old son asked me why i was so excited.

    40. Dre managed to put influences from every aspect of African American music past present & beyond in one Hip Hop album and it’s incredible!! Everything about the production is next level!

Dre is THE Greatest!! There should be no doubt about this anymore. If he isn’t the top of someone’s best producer list after this, they must be retarded.

I don’t see any motherfucker putting an album out topping this for a looooooong time!

      Lets celebrate this greatness!!!!

      1. Woow just woow. I was a little bit scared for this sounding wack, but woow I have no words man. Dre did the unexpectable. I mean his legacy speaks for it self, but he knows everytime to suprise us with his new work. It was worth the time. This CD is a CLASSIC, 5/5. This is what I was waiting for years. The productions are on point. Dr Dre is the greatest producer man come on. Everybody suprised me. Snoop Dogg & Eminem suprised me. I mean I said a few times they fell off but they really showed the best of themselves. I never heard Snoop Dogg like that and Eminem pff maybe even better than his old shit and new shit.

Ice Cube murked his track, Xzibit killed it, The Game sounded again like he was new in the game and hungry. Jon Connor killed it, I dont know him well but damn incredible. King Mez, well this dude is a sensation. Dre knows how to mix upcoming rappers with the og’s. It got the best out of everyone. Beats are innovative and rough and hip hop.

The Dr Dre & DJ Premier track is a killer. You see this is what you got when you put two heavyweights togheter. I’ve waiting so long for this to happen and they didn’t disappoint. This is one of the greatest thing I’ve ever heard. Overal after listening the album one time it’s already a classic. I am enjoying it. Oh and Kendrick Lamar also killed it man this dude is on another lane man.

Aftermath camp rules hip hop again. No disrespect, but these Drake, Meek Mill, Asap Rocky those so called rappers running the game aint got no shit to this record.

      1. Might as well be called Detox. Really it doesn’t matter. This is the album we have been waiting for regardless. The whole thing goes hard. If you love black music in all it’s forms, this album is the culmination of it all. Dre’s finest work! No doubt this shit is going to be classic! It’s a bar setter. No other producer in the game is fucking with this. No one. Not even the ones involved. Dre is the most genius man in Hip Hop.

    41. Amen, Hallelujah, Chuuuuuch!!!!!!!!! The hip hop God’s have been good!!!!!!!
CLASSIC FUCKIN ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ain’t NOTHING touching this for the next decade.

    42. This album is wonderful man. It’s not Detox but hey he gave the world another masterpiece. I’m so ready for this movie now man. Thank you Dre for blessing us, the hip hop world needed this, SERIOUSLY.

    43. rofl, the album is just average. not bad or totally good.
      its “ok”

      overhyped cause its DRE.
i thought it will be MUCH better than detox?
this = detox, what i expected already in 2011 (a fail)

      1. It’s just OK, then what other just OK albums does it compare to? What other albums can you name that blow this away?

      2. Lmao there’s always gonna be that 1 that’s hates it and 9 that loves it out of ten. This guy is that 1 in 9/10. Go listen to drake or whatever soft shit u listen to

      1. Thank you!!! Someone listens to music. It might be the best mixed and mastered album ever. The beats are so clean, meaning you can hear every single sound in the production.

    44. yall keep saying detox that just tellin me that all this commenters are bunch of idiots.. straight outta compton inspired and motivate him to make a sountrack album called compton..

    45. Definitely much better than those Detox singles (Kush, I Need A Dr) & leaked tracks. Contender for Album of the Year.

    46. I’ve been a fan since the 80’s. I appreciate both raw hip hop and the funny pop up hop, but in all honesty, I found this album incredibly wack. Lyrically it was good, especially tracks with Kendrick Lamar, but I found the beats too busy, per say, and the flow weak. To be honest, I didn’t like any song, but I played them on my laptop, so maybe I gotta play it loud in my car to give it a chance. Just my opinion, no need for hateful responses, none of us are getting paid by Dre, and I’m not trying to be disrespectful. Fact is, I wanted to like the album, but I just couldn’t. Glad everyone else enjoyed it..

      1. First off I respect your opinion. I like how you made a mature comment. I just feel like the total opposite which is weird. I felt Dre’s flow was impressive. Like I never heard Dre sound so good. Also Snoop and Ice cube had some of the best flows of their career. Like I really couldn’t recognize they voice. Now the Bears are just crazy to me. Not sure what to busy means? Just saying the sounds to me makes the beat. Last thing I felt the album was mixed and mastered to perfection. I’m confident it will sound better in head phones. Not saying it’s going to totally change your opinion but I think ulyiubwill like it a little more with headphones.

      2. Yeah, you need a real sound system to appreciate the beats. I listened on my comp and it sounded terrible. Ran it through my surround sound and I was like “DAAAAMMMMNNN” lol

    47. My ears must be stuck in the past. I couldn’t get into one song. I wish this album never came out. How can you make chronic and chronic 2001 and then release this? Damn. If dre can’t produce a classic no more what hope is there for the future of hip hop. The south has ruined hip hop. I’m sorry but why give us a Kendrick sounding album with down south style of production. I know the kids will love this and call it a classic but where’s the g funk? Where’s the funk dre? Man i am so disappointed. I wish I never heard this. I’m trying not to sound like a hater but seriously the chronic is my fifth favourite album of all time only behind illmatic ready to die doggystyle and 36 chambers. What has happened to hip hop? Am I being too harsh? The west coast needs a west coast version of Joey badass. Someone young who raps over g funk beats. Man I’m so disappointed. Fuck!

      1. BLAZE1 Man I feel you 100%!!!. Same feeling…FUCK! just like u said, I wish this never came out man… not what I was looking for. I am shocked and I am scared that this is now the end of the good shit. The only person left to bring some real good old school shit…the guy that helped create it!?!?! didnt deliver man. and i feel bad even saying that. I dont like to hate, but I am just shocked by this G…

      2. And by the way I just cant stand these little mutherfukers sayin its Fire! I can sit here and love the starters of this westcoast shit..I listen to them everyday. But some of the shit i just cant agree with from like 05 and on. Theres this corrupt shit with the music industry and i feel some just arent sticking to their roots in the music aspect.. i dont get their moves.

      3. I couln’t agree enough, This is terrible… Thought for a long time that theres still hope… but no, this is the end of hiphop. The rest is left to the new age, the age of lightpitch wackey beats, with no feeling, and helium vocals… a bunch of knuckleheads who are in it for the money.. I am soo dissapointed, but atleast we can comfort ourself with the new “no hope” status… because it really is all gone … Why couldnt he just have given us something awesome, something revolutionary, something expected…

    48. This album is great, the production, mixing and mastering is incredible, BUT K. Lamar is a bitch. How many times does he have to take subliminal shots at Drake? Seriously, he sounds like a gilted ex-girlfriend, Drake appeared on his album, Drake featured him on his album, Drake took his ass on tour, Kendrick uses OVO’s producers on his damn albums and yet Kendrick still can’t stop going at Drake. We get it, you hate Drake. Just wait until Views from 6 drops Kenny, you bitch nigga. Also you die hard Kenny fanboys bash Drake for never naming names, but are okay with Kenny’s bitch ass subliminal tactics? Darkside Gone, the BET Cypher and King Kunta are clearly directed at Drake. Stop denying it!

      1. Low key homeboy….. you sound like the angered groupie. Why do you sound like the angered groupie fam….it ain’t serious.

      2. Tell Drake to diss him them then. Oh wait he won’t because K.Dot would lyrically assassinate the singing nigg@

      3. HAHAHA Kendrick bodies the fuck outta Drake on Deep Water too! If Aubrey wants to be the best of this generation he should step to Kendrick, he won’t though. Kendrick has the crown, and ain’t nobody hungry enough to take it from him.

      4. So why doesn’t drakes bitch ass fire back at k.dot then*hmmmm*because he will get annihilated*he knows & u know*long live the 80s & 90s*

    49. Does anyone know what the sample at the beginning of the song “Issues” is??? I swear I’ve heard it before on another rap song, but I can’t remember. 🙁

    50. This will be the album of the decade. Very good production and even Eminem provided a non-annoying verse. Too much of K. Dot, but it’s still a near perfect album. Sorry for my bad English skills..

    51. I have to say, anything and everything Kendrick Lamar graces with his presence comes out nice, Kendrick “makes” other artists step there lyrical ability UP!

    52. the production and mixing and mastering is second to none,it’s just what I wanted to hear and please play it through a real system before you say this and that!!!!…..straight fire!!

    53. this album just proves, Kendrick is still King, Em is still Rap God, The Game is still a beast. Xzibit still got it. the door for Anderson Paak should be open( the boy nice). Marsha and Jill still sound beautiful. and Ice Cube still sound str8 on Dre Productions.. but this shit could of came out years ago. If this is his last one, thank gosh! 16 years of waiting, and you mean to tell me this is it? Hooks were all over the place. No Dogg Pound, Rage, RBX, 50, Warren G, Nate? shit Nate all over Warren G shit, he could of gotten Some Nate on.. Old or never heard. I honestly think Dre needed Mel Man, Daz and Quik to help produce this shit.. he always have other producers to help him. smh no lie this really do sound like a damn Soundtrack and its his last.. Gooood.. 5 Stars our of 10

    54. Are people giving props to his mixing and mastering? i mean isnt all about his Beat First? I probably need to listen to it on my System. There was absolutely nothing special about this CD other then Kdot, Em, Game, Paak, and Jill, Marsha.. like shit was average. A couple of Dre Beats that made you think OK, there it is.. but then it goes back flat.. Def not Last CD material. Crazy Over Hype and did not live up to it. Just my Opinion. Got Some Bangers.. won’t lie. but not the same

      1. Def not last cd material? I mean why would you expect him to make the same music he did in 99(2001)? He’s in a different space.Beats first? Like people analyze the creation of the project to much. You say nothing special except the Artisit that’s featured? Not the same?I respect your opinion. It’s just all over the place. It would be easier just to say it’s aight. thats how I view music.

    55. Man this album is dopeeee!!!! When i first listened to it I was disappointed cos I was expecting g-funk/ 2001 beats and features, but when I listened to it again damn, production is hotttt and Dr. Dre went all in on his verses. Snoop killed that verse in One Shot One kill(biggest surprise of the album, lol), and the new talent Dr.Dre recruited on the album( Jon Connor, Anderson Paak, King Mez) just proves that hip-hop is in good hands after Dr.Dre leaves the game.

    56. it will never be a classic he left ren out and what he raps about he would have been a PERFECT FIT

      COMPTON NO REN WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

    57. Can’t believe he dropped the Detox project for this bullshit album. A few years back he released a few tracks that were supposed to make the Detox album such as “Topless”, “There They Go”, “The Outro”, etc. These tracks sounded dope to my ears. Just like the beat he produced for Bishop Lamont “Grow Up”. I don’t understand how he could thought a minute his work on Detox was not “good enough” considering some of the material that got leaked.

Now this album is average at best. I only liked 5 or 6 tracks on it. The rest sounds nothin like a westcoast classic material. Where is the g-funk, the heavy drums, the piano, and all the ingredients that made Doggystyle, The Chronic, 2001, etc. some typical classic westcoast albums.

Some rumors said Mel-Man, the D.O.C., and some ghost producers made Dre’s most successful productions. Considering most of them left him, I tend to believe these rumors were someway right…

      4/10

      1. Shit he dropped the kush record that sounds west coast but fans complained. Gfunk is a thing of the past , I’m glad he changed it up for the same formula he had in the 90s.. The album is pretty dam good

      2. I’m delighted he didn’t go down the lazy route of rehashing old work to appease fans from older stuff.

This is 2015 sound with some nod to past achievements.

      3. If I’m not wrong he didn’t produce many tracks (or he co-produced many tracks). This is a soundtrack album, not a Dr Dre album….
He probably just released this album to promote the movie.

Anyway, the reason why he won’t drop Detox or however he want to call his next solo album is mainly because he probably knows the album won’t have as much impact as the previous ones… and he doesn’t do music for the money… he does music because he loves it and he wants to keep his legendary status. An average album would damage his legendary status….

      4. Wow, some people are so stuck in the past. Dont understand me wrong I love rap of the late 80’s and 90’s but hip hop is changing constantly. And that’s a good thing since G-Funk was getting boring in the late productions.
2001 changed it totally with it’s brand new sound and the hard beats, hadnt had so much to do with G-Funk if you ask me.
Also The D.O.C. never used to be a producer get your facts straight, he just did some stuff on his own solo album, he just ghost wrote for Dre.
And no one of Dre’s co-producers ever kept the high level as Solo producers over a longer time. Doesnt matter who it is, Mel-Man became wack after his Aftermath days, Sam Sneed didnt bring out much good songs without Dre, same for Focus.. even tho he’s one of the few who still is able to produce dope songs. Daz used to be good till the g-funk times ended but his G-Funk production style was totally diffrent than Dre’s..

And yes Dre produced most of this album, like mostly he had co-producers but that’s nothing new.
In 10 years this is going to be a classic because for this time it just tops all of the current beats and brings us a awesome sound which I didnt hear in ages. 2001 was totally diffrent back in 99, too.

    58. its different, its mature. No, its not what most of us hard core fans expected, but its getting better with every listen. Thanks Dre.

      1. Should an Album just “get better with each listen” or should it be revolutionary, Should your fucking jaw drop or is that just me … I mean damn, he did that to you before, there isnt a single track on that album that makes me feel anything …. If i wanna be an EMO then i would listen to some emo shit… when i wanna listen to dre i expect something else…

    59. Wow… Fuckin awesome album. Top to bottom. Exceeded expectations. Dre definitely still got it. Anyone who says this is whack, is a fucking idiot imo

    60. Definitely grows on you. If you don’t have a half-way-decent sound system, you won’t get it. yeah, the content is sub-par but the beats are mixed well. I things the lyrics were lacking some what but still appreciate Dre for dropping this.

    61. Man.. I get it Dre is sick and hes a legend. But FUCK! man cmon. I havent listened to radio in ages cause most of it is garbage. Im stuck to listening to some old school shit that i love even tho sometimes im sick of the same song, but i still love it. I expected some New..Old School SHIT. Fuck man this makes me sad..literally. I was lookin for Dre to fill a long waited gap of some old G shit. I know its 2015 but fuck that I still wanna listen to some shit that makes me feel like i got some switches, even tho i dont….FUCK…. I hope dude can bring it back man, some of us need that shit.

    62. yeah it growed on me. I still can say it isn’t dre’s best, but I was only looking for a new dre album and this is dre all the way. it sounds rushed a bit, but I still can bump this shit because he speaks real and he knows how to capture you in his album. he’s a genious no doubt. glad to have the album jack

    63. How come Dre sounds like Eminem in Eminem tracks and sounding like Kendrick lately?? hmm?
but anyway this shit wack as Kendrick albums. Yall know that, quit fronting and sayin’ this is ‘Growth Folk shit”. This new horny-ass weed-smoker’s sound sucks! Wish Ice Cube did the soundtrack album instead… he keeps it real. Fuck this new shit, I be listening coz the other artists out are super garbage, but I can’t wait for the each song to end as soon as I play it. 3/10.

      1. “this shit wack as Kendrick albums.” Comsidering that none of Kendrick’s albums are wack, then that means Compton is a masterpiece. This album is amazing musically. You probably didn’t even listen to it.

      2. I agree 100 % This is wack, Ive been waiting ever since chronic 2001 was released and this is what i get? a punch below the belt is what it is. Im so dissapointed i dont know what else to say.. guess i’ll go bump some Chronic 2001 ….

    64. i been listening to this over and over and it gets better each time, beats are incredible, mastering and mixing for an i tunes album is amazing. I have 2001 and the chronic if I want to hear the stuff from 16,20, years ago this compton soundtrack is dope….btw put it in a good sound system if you have one …lol

    65. One of the year’s best albums so far. Dr.Dre has def improved as a rapper ghostwritten or not. Kenrick has laid to rest any doubts as to his talent.Game bodied his song crazy and I’m noteven a fan of Game. Ice Cube and Snoop disappointed, Xzibit still a beast. Premo and Dre together was a gift to hiphop fans. I Think the standout and star of this album was Jon Connor. Great stuff. 5 Mics!

    66. This albums dope.U have to listen to it thru good speakers or some good headphones. Some people calling it wack need to clean their ears out.Its a dope quality album.

    67. people saying this shoulda sounded like this or why didn’t he do that

nigga if you fifty years old doin the same thing isht you did when you was twelve
you’re either retarded, lazy or in serious need of rehab – you smoked out homey

      1. bruh Im with ya. Anyone remember that new cd/cover smell right when ya opened it? those were the days. that and long boxes

    68. I’ve been saying Dre lost his touch for a long time. His productions are not epic anymore and his rapping voice and flow is wack n

    69. This new rap age lacks skills, its all beat and no story.Dre ,how the fuck did you release this shit?Tell these wack rappers they need to read a fucking book and take a basic rhyming course. What’s a few more million for Dre,why should he he give a fuck.ALL YOU RAPPERS SOUND THE SAME,YOUR FUCKING LAME,YOU RUINED THE GAME……
