Doja Cat has issued an apology to her fans in the Garden State after apparently giving a less-than-stellar performance there on her current tour.

The Scarlet Tour made its way to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Thursday night (November 30). And while just the night prior she’d crowned her Brooklyn stop her “best night,” Jersey didn’t seem to go as well.

“I’m so fuckin sorry New Jersey I don’t know what the fuck that was,” she wrote on her Instagram Story after the show. “I’m really not happy with my energy tonight.”

It’s to be noted, however, that she told the crowd she wasn’t feeling well the night prior at the Barclays Center. According to Rolling Stone, she considered cutting the final song because she was sick, but ultimately powered through.

While the Scarlet Tour has been mainly going off without a hitch, Doja Cat did have a small hiccup with her mic in her hometown of Los Angeles while performing her hit single “Kiss Me More.”

Instead of letting it get the best of her, though, the rapper continued on with some hilarious reactions before dancing it off – and her fans loved it.

“Her reaction to her mic giving out….just makes me love her more bruh,” one fan wrote in response to the video. “A true Libra reaction.”

“I’m sure most people weren’t even listening to her sing, they were there more to see he perform! She’s very talented! And crazy,” a second person wrote, while another added: “The way shes so unserious lmao i love her.”

The Scarlet Tour is Doja Cat’s first-ever arena trek, and both Doechii and Ice Spice are along for the ride. The 24-date tour kicked off last month on the West Coast and will wrap up in Chicago on December 13.

When the tour hit Denver a few weeks back, Doja once again hinted at one of her biggest solo hits being a money ploy.

“Come on cash grab,” she said as she launched into her 2020 smash “Say So.”

Back in May, the singer and rapper said in a series of since-deleted tweets that some of her early work was made for the money.

Planet Her and Hot Pink were cash-grabs and yall fell for it,” she wrote about her second and third albums. “now i can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop.”

“Say So” is one of Doja’s best-selling songs to date. The 6x platinum track arrived on 2019’s Hot Pink. Nicki Minaj hopped on the remix in 2020, which helped vault the track to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
