Denny’s Tweets 50 Cent “In Da Club” Lyrics

The Denny’s restaurant chain sent a tweet yesterday (April 24) that was inspired by lyrics from 50 Cent’s 2003 single, “In Da Club.”

“And if they hate then let ’em hate and watch the pancakes pile up,” Denny’s tweeted.

On “In Da Club,” 50 Cent raps, “And if they hate, then let ’em hate and watch the money pile up.”

The diner sells pancakes, among other things.

Kanye West also used the same 50 Cent lyrics on his 2007 single “Good Life.”

Earlier this month, 50 Cent discussed Troy Ave using “In Da Club” on his “Show Me Love” song, which appeared on the rapper’s New York City: The Album

“That was cool, but I hear me on the record at the same time,” 50 Cent said at the time. “So, I’m like ‘Oh, alright.’ But that’s [him] getting into the groove…This was a mixtape. So, to take something that you thought was cool and melodies off of and go ahead and do it it’s cool to do that. We rewrite verses. The artist that did it the first time really worked. Or really that creative energy came from them. And we doing it over a new way with new lines. And you be like ‘He killed it.’ But it still wasn’t his from the very beginning.”

    1. 50 still makes more money monthly in 2014 off in the club from 2003 than rappers today with their singles

    2. Cracking article! Really, really bloody good. Next article – man listens to music and imitates artist by rapping along.

    3. Rick Ross is jealous. That’s all he ever wanted in life was for Denny’s to recognize his gangster.

    4. Even Kanye has to steal godfather 50’s lyrics.

If you look in the credits Kanye needs about 10 guys to write every one of his songs.

    5. My client will be suing Denny’s for not quoting any of his lyrics after all the business he has brought them over the years. This is blatant disrespect to the boss and we will not stand for it.

    6. Rick Ross would sue these crackkkers if they ever used some of his lyrics. Just like how he’s suing that group LMFAO for saying “Everyday I’m Shuffling”, unless that’s been laughed out of the court system by now.

      1. He even sued his broke baby momma for $20 million for making offensive and false statements about him claiming he tried to have her killed.

      2. LMFAO @ you bitter yard apes…still mad at the white man? he’s holding you back? hahaha news flash you are a low life and are holding yourself back

      3. They got clearance on the sample, no food chain would risk getting sued after 50 sued the Blacks and Mexicans, at Worlstar and Taco Bell. His baby mama won a 2.4 million mansion from him and he had it burned to the ground a week later. Sick guy needs help.

    7. Wow…good for them. They tweeted a rap lyric. It’s not even a controversial lyric. Look I don’t know who’s giving you these stories, but please tell them “just because it involves a rapper doesn’t mean you have to make an article about it.” That way you won’t waste the viewer’s time.

      1. It’s cool, they’re doing it for SEO value and because 50 probably is paying them. No worries, they will just lose the actual people who BUILT the fucking site. No problem, many retarded inexperienced companies do this all the time.

    8. Denny’s sells pancakes among other things? Thanks for wasting my time. Fuck HipHopDX sure is missing a lot more times than they’re hitting lately

    9. What the fuck is wrong with you guys? HipHopDX is slipping, man. All you guys had to do was post the tweet but you fucking write essays. #SMH
