Del The Funky Homosapien Released From Denmark Hospital

Del The Funky Homosapien was hospitalized in Denmark earlier this month. The Hieroglyphics luminary fell off of a stage while performing with the Gorillaz at the 2018 Roskilde Festival.

Nearly three weeks later, Del — who dropped Gate 13 with Bay Area producer Amp Live back in April — is still stuck in Denmark but was finally able to check out of the hospital.

“I’m doing ok,” he tells HipHopDX. “I’m still in a lot of pain. I’m on pain meds. I fractured seven ribs and punctured my lung. I had to have surgery. I had a tube in my lung pumping the blood and air out.

“I also had a epidural in my back to inject morphine directly to my bloodstream. After about five days, they let me out the hospital. I’m in Denmark until I’m cleared for flight. Will be here for maybe about another week.”

Shortly after the incident, Del provided a couple of updates via Instagram and assured everybody he’d be back to Roskilde. He also referred to the medical treatment he was receiving in Denmark as “outstanding.”
