Colin Kaepernick Donates $34K To J. Cole’s Dreamville Foundation

Colin Kaepernick may be out of a job with the NFL, but that’s not stopping his generous humanitarian efforts.

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback donated $34,000 to J. Cole’s Dreamville Foundation, according to reporter Darren Rovell.

Kaepernick also donated $33,000 each to New York’s Lower East Side Girls Club and 100 Suits For 100 Men.

The Dreamville Foundation is based in Cole’s hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. According to its site, the non-profit organization aims to “bridge the gap” between the worlds of opportunity and the urban youth in the city.

Although the specifics of Kaepernick’s donation weren’t revealed at this time, a statement issued on his behalf said the details will be divulged in the near future.

“Colin will be helping to fund a couple of new projects in development which he is very excited to support,” the statement read. “Colin will be releasing details of the projects in development in the coming weeks.”

Cole has been a longtime supporter of Kaepernick, who famously protested the national anthem by kneeling while it was played during the 2016 NFL season. Many people believe the quarterback has been blackballed from the NFL due to his social activism.

    1. The NFL isn’t seeing a dollar from me until Kaepernick gets signed, nor are any of their sponsors #boycottNFL #kneelontheirpocketbook

      1. I just wish the players would walk out. We are 70% of the league. If we left, the NFL would look like the leather helmet era.

    2. Trust me they will be just fine with out you guys. He would be just fine if he didnt wear the pig cop socks, the castro shirt, and opted out of his 22mil a year contract with San Fran. Add that in with his girl postinh stupid shit on twitter and you get just another unemployed guy who use to play in the NFL. Sad but true and I personally don’t see it changing.

    3. Wow.. Kaep making the NFL look bad day by day. Stop black-balling that man and let him get back to work… At least this young man is donating his hard earned money for change. NFL still upset at this man for his non-violent protest. He may have been misguided earlier in his protest but his heart was always in the right place. Stay Strong Kaep! Pig socks or not, who cares, that doesn’t change the fact that all these cops got off killing black youth with barely any reprocussions. NFL and America really that mad Kaep protested the killing of innocent black youth??? As I stated before his heart was in the right place, just the protest was a bit misguided but now you got more and more NFL personnel taking up his protest….what now? NFL is all about one thing, the almighty dollar. Doesn’t care about the health of the people that play the sport, just the bottom line. Ask the NFL how much of a cut do they take for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Sad but true.

    4. Why dont you go take another knee before the IRS comes and takes all your shit next future broke athelete right here

    5. Yes because it’s a poser and fake move to give money to charity? What do you do with your money? Do you bring awareness to social issues? I’m thinking Nah, u just criticize people who do on a message board. Nice!

    6. Kaepernick – “I’m half white & grew up very privileged, I bet if I grow out a big afro, blacks will start to like me more & think I’m down with the struggle..”
Friend – “Nah, that’ll never work.”
      Kaepernick – “Watch me..”
      What a sad world….

    7. It’s crazy how a comment about an album will be removed but you can disrespect the black community all day on this site.
