The Clipse might not have put an album out in 13 years but they’re also not shutting down the possibility of doing a reunion project.
On Saturday (November 19), the Virginia Beach duo consisting of Pusha T and No Malice took part in a panel conversation at ComplexCon with Hip Hop historian Andrew Barber (aka Fake Shore Drive) to celebrate 20 years of their acclaimed debut Lord Willin’.

Joined by rapper FamLay and record executive Steven Victor, The Clipse broke down how the album was shaped while sharing a few other nuggets of information some fans may not have known — including that they once entertained the idea of signing with No Limit Records.
Towards the end of the conversation, Barber asked what the future holds for The Clipse. While neither of the brothers gave a direct answer, No Malice did give fans a glimmer of hope. “The Clipse live forever,” he said.

When asked if the door was still open for another Clipse project, he said: “I mean, come on man,” with a snicker. Victor even egged the duo on, telling them that he really wants them to get back in the studio and make a new record.
Although no other information was shared, No Malice did tell Barber that his efforts to find out more about a potential Clipse reunion album were a “good try.”

The last Clipse album was 2009’s Til the Casket Drops. Their third and final studio album followed on from 2002’s Lord Willin’ and 2006’s Hell Hath No Fury, both of which were produced by The Neptunes. The two critically acclaimed projects collectively spawned the hits “Grindin’,” “When the Last Time,” “Cot Damn,” “Mr. Me Too,” and “Wamp Wamp (What It Do).”
Back in June, Pusha T and No Malice reunited for their first performance as The Clipse in over a decade at their good friend Pharrell’s Something In The Water festival in Washington, D.C.
During Skateboard P’s headlining “Pharrell & Phriends” set — which also boasted cameos from T.I. and N.O.R.E. — the brothers Thornton produced one of the highlights of the entire three-day festival by hitting the stage to perform “Like I Love You” with fellow special guest Justin Timberlake.
The Virginia Beach duo stuck around and dusted off fan-favorite cuts from their own catalog including “Mr. Me Too,” “Cot Damn” and “Grindin’,” with No Malice embracing coke rap bars like “Break down keys into dimes and sell them like gobstoppers.”

More recently, Pusha and Malice teamed up to perform “Grindin'” at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards.
In other Pusha T news, the king of coke raps was just nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2023 Grammy Awards for his latest record, It’s Almost Dry. The awards ceremony is due to take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California on February 5, 2023.
