Chris Brown has shifted into the holiday spirit, delivering visuals for two new Christmas songs that appear on a repackaged collection of music.

“No Time Like Christmas” hears Breezy serenading the object of his affection with a sultry, slow jam featuring a mix of suggestive and romantic lyrics like, “How you want it mama? I got several options made for two/Dinner’s on the table, I’m so thankful I was made for you.”

The up-tempo “It’s Giving Christmas” offers fans a more family friendly version of Chris Brown, as he sings, “No matter all the riches or poorest/we’re all here as one/Christmas is giving/ we’re all here for love.”

“No Time Like Christmas” was released as the B-side to “It’s Giving Christmas” as a single on November 16. However, the two songs also appear on a 35-track re-release of the extended edition of Chris Brown’s tenth studio album Breezy.

The new bundle, titled BREEZY-It’s Giving Christmas, appeared on streaming platforms on November 18.

On Friday, Chris Brown shared snippets of both new videos on Instagram. He paired the “It’s Giving Christmas” clip with a special message to his fans.

“I love YALL so much…,” the caption read. “ALL YOU MATTER TO ME… FAMILY FIRST.. THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN ME TEAM BREEZY.”

Earlier this month, Chris Brown gave fans another gift of sorts, when he informally shared an unreleased song featuring a Michael Jackson sample, just weeks after his cancelled Thriller tribute.

The singer posted a nearly 2-minute long snippet of the Hitmaker-produced song, titled “Transparency,” on Instagram. In the caption, Chris Brown revealed he hasn’t been able to release the song due to a sample of Michael Jackson’s “The Lady In My Life,” which appears throughout the track.

“I know y’all been on me bout dis one ….,” he wrote. “(We couldn’t clear the sample and we felt it took away from the song if that music wasn’t there ) everybody and they momma ask me bout this damn song.”

“The Lady In My Life” has previously been sampled by a number of Hip Hop artists, most famously being incorporated into LL Cool J‘s 1995 hit “Hey Lover,” featuring Boyz II Men. The song has also been used by Ghostface KillahMac MillerThree 6 Mafia and Tyga, to name a few.

Chris Brown did not indicate whether negotiations are still underway to get the sample cleared.

Not getting the sample cleared was a rare loss for Chris Brown in 2022. He took home the Favorite Male R&B Artist at this year’s American Music Awards and was named Best R&B/Soul Male Artist for the second time in three years at BET’s Soul Train Awards. He beat out the likes of Babyface, Brent Faiyaz, Giveon and Lucky Daye for the honor.
