Chief Keef's 'Almighty So 2' Album Gets New Release Date Following Delay

Chief Keef’s upcoming project Almighty So 2 has an official release date after missing out on its original December slot thanks to a delay.

According to its listing on Apple Music, Chief Keef’s new project Almighty So 2 will now be arriving on April 14. The project was announced back in October with the release of two tracks — “Tony Montana Flow” and “Racks Stuffed Inna Couch.”

Keef had originally settled on a December 16 release date, but that day came and went with no word on the project. However, fans were blessed with the rerelease of his major label debut album, Finally Rich, which came with seven unreleased tracks.

According to a tweet from Fake Shore Drive‘s Andrew Barber, Keef had pushed the album back to 2023, but the complete edition of Finally Rich should hold fans over.

Almighty So 2 is the sequel to Keef’s Almighty So, which was released in October 2013. It was hosted by DJ Scream and featured Tadoe and Cdai. The sequel will also serve as the official follow-up to Chief Keef’s last full-length effort, 4NEM, which dropped in 2021.

Almighty So 2 continues an elite run for Keef that saw him release 14 mixtapes over the last few years. Some of those include eight volumes of his The Leek series, four installations of The GloFiles, and two joint projects with Atlanta producer Zaytoven titled GloToven and Camp GloTiggy.

Chief Keef celebrated a huge accolade last month when his debut album, Finally Rich,officially surpassed one million units in the U.S., giving it a platinum certification. The milestone came shortly before Keef celebrated the 10th anniversary of the album on December 18.

Before picking up a platinum plaque, Finally Rich surpassed one billion streams on Spotify on November 12, according to Chart Data. Finally Rich arrived in December 2012 via Interscope Records and boasted appearances from 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Jeezy, French Montana and Lil Reese.

Powered by hits such as “Love Sosa,” “I Don’t Like” and “Hate Bein’ Sober,” the album debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard 200 after selling 50,000 copies in the first week. The album previously reached gold status — commemorating 500,000 sales — in July 2018.
