Cassie has hit back following Kanye West‘s claims that she extorted Diddy – and she used Playboi Carti‘s words to make her statement.
As previously reported, Ye went off on one of his most explosive X rants yet on Tuesday (March 18), hitting out at everyone from the likes of Carti and Cassie to Jim Jones, Cardi B and more.
As it pertained to Cassie, he reiterated the same claims he previously made about her last month, casting doubt on her lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend and suggesting it was extortion.
“How every n-gga you know hit a girl before but everybody so mad at Puff?” he wrote. “So Cassie ain’t extort Puff? Cassie came to Puff and said gimme 30 million or I’ma release a tell all book. That looks like extortion to me.”

Later that day, Carti had replied to Ye’s posts about him with a “YE STFU” post to X. And for her response, Cassie simply shared his post to her Instagram Stories.

The lawsuit, which was filed in November 2023 and settled the following day, accused Diddy of sexually and physically abusing Cassie during their decade-long relationship.

While Diddy initially denied the allegations, footage emerged months later of him brutally attacking the “Me & U” hitmaker in a hotel in 2016, lending credence to her claims.
The mogul subsequently apologized for his actions and said he was “disgusted” by his behavior.
Kanye West sparked similar outrage last month when he declared his support for Diddy and attempted to justify his attack on Cassie – then doubled down on it in recent weeks and going so far as to record a song with Puff and put his daughter North West on it – much to Kim Kardashian’s dismay.
Over the weekend, Kanye posted and then deleted a track on social media called “Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine,” which features the first on-wax statement from the disgraced Bad Boy boss since his sex trafficking and racketeering arrest last September.

It opens with a phone conversation between Ye and an incarcerated Diddy, who says: “I just want to thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man. Ain’t nobody reached out to them, ain’t nobody called. Nobody.
“That meant so much that you reached out to them and took them under your wing while I’m in this muthafucka. I appreciate you. Word up, man.”
The Chicago native replies: “Absolutely. I love you so much, man. You raised me, even when I ain’t know you, know what I’m saying?”
“Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine” also features guest vocals from 11-year-old North, Diddy’s son Christian “King” Combs and Jasmine Williams, a singer who is apparently signed to Kanye’s Yeezy imprint.

It also ends with a Diddy-flavored beat switch that features his signature ad-lib “As we proceed!” and is reminiscent of Biggie‘s “My Downfall.”
The song subsequently reignited tensions between Kanye and Kim, who finalized their acrimonious and lengthy divorce in 2022.
West shared screenshots on X of texts between himself and his ex-wife, which were sparked by a cease-and-desist he’d received over having North on the song. Kim was able to send the paperwork as she’d previously trademarked North’s name, and Ye was not pleased.

In the end, he vowed Kim will have to “kill” him because he plans to “go to war” if she doesn’t amend it.
