Cardi B, Post Malone, Migos & XXXTENTACION Among 2018 AMA Winners

The 2018 American Music Awards took place on Tuesday (October 9) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. During the annual ceremony, Cardi B won the award for Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Artist as well as the Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Song award for her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow” and the Favorite Soul/R&B award for “Finesse,” her collaboration with Bruno Mars.

The Bronx firecracker also performed “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J. Balvin. It marked her first awards show performance since giving birth to her daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus.

Post Malone also took home two awards for Favorite Pop/Rock Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip Hop album for beerbongs & bentleys, while El Paso native Khalid was honored with the award for Favorite Soul/R&B Artist.

The late XXXTENTACION earned a posthumous award for 17, which was given the honor for Favorite Soul/R&B Album. Elsewhere, Migos was deemed Favorite Pop/Rock Duo or Group and Rihanna was named Favorite Female Artist in the Soul/R&B category.

    1. how can some one win best rock/pop artist and turn around then win best hip hop/ rap album… I am just so fuckin confused… shit , I never even heard post malone spit a 16 … how is he still consider hip hop …???

    2. Bodak Yellow is so old like really. So glad her hype is dyling slowly compared to last year. She sure is taking her sweet time releasing “hits” eh

    3. Shout out to the homegirl T-Swizzle! #TeamTayTayAllTheWay! on a nother note i don’t see Nicki Minaj winning anything was she even nominated? That’s how they tell you you are old news, i guess its Cardi time now. Which one i prefer? Nicki all the way.

    4. My bad, I thought that was a minstrel show lineup. What happens when old white executives destroy a culture.
