Cardi B has been hitting the party scene heavy as of late, which she admits has been a great distraction amid her divorce from Offset – but she’s ready to head back inside.
Talking to fans on Instagram Live on Sunday night (November 17), Cardi reflected on her recent lifestyle, but assured fans she’s putting the partying on pause and getting back to the music.
“I feel like I been going outside [a lot],” Bardi said. “I have to. It’s like, I’m getting through a divorce so I have to enjoy myself. I gotta enjoy myself, you know what I’m saying?
She continued: “But all I know is, no more outside! We gotta be inside. Chain us up to the muthafuckin’ mic!”
During the same Live, Cardi B promised fans that her long-awaited sophomore album is coming in 2025 – despite previously assuring it would arrive in 2024.
The Bronx superstar released her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, in April 2018, making it over six and a half years since she’s released a full body of work.
“I’ve been feeling so emotional lately,” she said. “Because I know next year is going to be my fucking year. This has been the most weirdest year I have ever experienced. I don’t know what the fuck happened this year, I can’t even tell you. […] I fell in love. Then fell out of love, then got a divorce.”
She continued: “I don’t know what the fuck is going on. I’m going through a very different transition in my fucking life and life is moving a little bit too fast. I don’t want to crash. I have to get my shit together. Next year, my album will be out, my secret businesses will be out. I can’t tell you what I’m working on. Hopefully next year I get me a little boyfriend. I’m hoe-less right now. I gotta get my shit together.”
Cardi’s initial promise that the album would arrive in 2024 came before she found out she was pregnant with her third child in addition to before things got rough with her estranged husband.
However, she’s been consistently posting from the studio since the baby arrived in September, indicating that she’s full steam ahead and will hopefully deliver on her new promise of 2025.

Personally I don’t care if she ever releases anything ever again. But to the people who do they should be able to see by now she is always going to have some bs why the album is delayed-again and again and again.
