Cardi B called on now-former Twitter CEO Elon Musk for help after a thirsty tweet about Janelle Monae apparently sent her into shadow-banned purgatory.

The tweet arrived as all of social media was going wild for Janelle’s steamy new video “Lipstick Lover,” which includes the singer going topless. In response, Cardi echoed the praise by adding a NSFW post of her own – a photo of a woman sucking another woman’s breast.

But apparently Twitter’s algorithm didn’t like it much.

“I’m shadowbanned cause I posted a picture of somebody getting their tittie sucked,” Cardi wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “@elonmusk please unshadowban me. I won’t do it again.”

The sensual video is a celebration of queer love and the female form, featuring shots of Janelle Monáe posing topless, singing directly to another woman’s derrière and having fun with a bed full of vibrators and dildos.

As for the song itself, the reggae-flavored single is the first taste of her aptly-titled fourth album The Age of Pleasure, which is due out June 2.

Janelle Monáe’s figure has been a fixture in the headlines lately, but not just because of her “Lipstick Lover” video. Last week, the 37-year-old went viral after she flashed her boobs at a party celebrating her song’s release.

During an outdoor performance of her new track, Monáe could be seen lifting up her shirt and exposing her breasts, much to the delight of the audience.

Monáe commemorated the moment on Twitter by writing: “Titties out for the next 15 years. [smiling with tongue out emoji].”

Before that, the Hidden Figures star turned heads at the 2023 Met Gala in New York City by wearing a sparkly bikini that was initially hidden under an oversized suit.

When asked on the red carpet about the secret to her stunning body, she replied: “Jamaican food and… sex.”
