Cam’ron alluded to his 2003 appearance on Bill O’Reilly’s Fox News show The O’Reilly Factor to help explain his viral CNN interview.

In an episode of his show with Ma$e, It Is What It Is, that aired on Tuesday (May 21), Killa Cam explained how his peculiar chat regarding Diddy‘s 2016 assault of Cassie and subsequent apology came to be.

He said: “They invited me on the show to talk about what’s going on with Diddy and all that…My thing about it was, Ma$e, that they didn’t invite me on to say how successful our show is or the positive stuff we do in the community, how every day, five days a week Ma$e talks to kids on a Zoom call…We do all these positive things and you call me on CNN for the bullshit? ‘I’m gonna give you the bullshit. That’s just what’s gonna happen.

“We got some free promo…You tried to use me, pause, whatever Diddy going through…The video, I don’t support it…The charges are fucked up…They ain’t watch 60 Minutes, they ain’t watch Bill O’Reilly,” he concluded, referencing to famous interviews he’s given in the past. In both, the 2003 O’Reilly chat and a 2007 60 Minutes talk with Anderson Cooper, Cam gave deadpan, frequently quotable responses that threw both hosts significantly off their games.

The drama began on Monday (May 20), when the Dipset founder appeared on CNN to discuss the Diddy situation.

Host Abby Phillip began by asking Killa Cam about his reaction to the shocking footage that surfaced last week of the Bad Boy boss brutally attacking his then-girlfriend in a hotel corridor eight years ago.

“First of all, everything in the video was egregious. I don’t support all the charges that’s alleged against him. I don’t support any of that — trafficking minors, domestic violence. I’m totally against it,” the Dipset rapper replied, referencing the lawsuits against Diddy.

“So when I saw the video, yeah, I was kinda upset with it. Being that I know him — he’s not necessarily a friend — but I was upset when I saw it.”

The interview quickly began to go off the rails when Phillip asked Cam’ron if he “recognized” the anger that Diddy displayed in the CCTV footage, irking the Harlem native.

“I don’t know him like that. What do you mean do I recognize him?” he answered defensively, misunderstanding the question. “What do you mean my experiences? I seen it and I thought it was disgusting. I didn’t zoom in to see if it was really him, but he admitted it was him.”

Phillips then played a clip from Cam’ron’s sports show It Is What It Is where co-host Ma$e spoke about introducing Cam to The Notorious B.I.G. early in his career.

While asking Cam about Diddy’s treatment of Bad Boy artists, the “Down & Out” MC began drinking his Pink Horse Power sex supplement and held the jar up to the camera.

“Sorry, I’m gonna get some cheeks after this Horse Power joint,” he said, leaving Phillips stunned.

After dancing around the question and pointing out that he was never signed to Diddy, Cam’ron went off script again, asking the question that many viewers were probably wondering.

“Who’s the talent agent for this joint? You think I be sitting around watching what Diddy do?” he said. “I didn’t know that this was a Diddy joint that you invited me to. Yo, who booked me for this joint? Y’all wildin.’”

Phillips then abruptly thanked Cam’ron for coming onto the show before ending the interview.
