Cam’ron has explained how his viral Bill O’Reilly interview happened back in 2003.

During an interview with KFC Radio podcast, the Dipset artist went in depth about one of the biggest moments to happen in the early 2000s.

“At the time, I was at Roc-A-Fella and they had a great publicist at the time,” Cam said. “A lot of those opportunities were presented but people were scared to take the opportunity so particularly with the Bill O’ Reilly ‘you mad’ situation, they was like, ‘You want to go on Bill O’Reilly?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know who Bill O’ Reilly is. Who is that? Not really.’ And I don’t remember if it was MSNBC or CNN, but whatever channel he was on intrigued me. I was like, ‘CNN? Bet! ‘Yeah I want to go on CNN n-gga!’ ”

He continued: “They like yo, ‘Cam he’s an asshole. I’m telling you this! They was tryna give me all this information. Now mind you, there’s no internet so it ain’t like I could just go him up at the time, so I’m like, ‘I don’t give a fuck.’ I’m me so I don’t care when I go up there but the whole staff at Roc-A-Fella is tryna warn me like, ‘Okay Cam’ and I really wasn’t giving a fuck.’

“So now they just trying to prep me and now I’m extra like, ‘Oh, he’s an asshole’ so whatever I’m ready for this. So basically, we get up there and the first thing he says is, ‘Cam’ron who’s known for rhyming about pimpin’ bitches. And I’m like, ‘Bet, it’s on!’ From the jump! And that’s how that all came about. As soon as they prepped me, as soon as he said ‘Cam’ron rhymin about pimpin’ bitches,’ I said ‘Yeah, we gon’ have a good time.’ ”

Cam then explained how Bill O’Reilly, who had his own show called The O’Reilly Factor on Fox News in 2003, blamed the rapper for his kids being influenced by the music he, and other artists were putting out.

“Moral of the story is, if you look, the only time I got loud with him is when he tried to cut me off,” Cam said. “I said, ‘No, you shut up, it’s my go. But the thing that was funny, is, let me tell you this part, I’m supposed to go on by myself, so I heard Dame was on before that. And Dame is real arrogant, I don’t know. I didn’t see the episode. To where he feel he didn’t get the best of Bill O’ Reilly or whatever. So, I remember being the office and Dame comes in the office like, ‘Yo, you going on Bill O’ Reilly tomorrow?’ And I said ‘Yeah, I’m going tomorrow.’ And Dame says, ‘I don’t know if you’re ready by yourself, I’m going with you. No, I’m definitely going with you because you don’t know this type of guy.’ ”

Cam also said he was fully aware of sexual assault allegations against O’Reilly and was prepared to use them against the Fox host at any moment.

Meanwhile, Killa Cam isn’t letting up on former NBA player Mario Chalmers after recently challenging him to a one-on-one matchup on the court.

Cam’ron paid a visit to the NBA Players Association office on behalf of his It Is What It Is recently, and his time there inspired him to send more shots at Chalmers, who he claims the league wants nothing to do with.

“Ay @mchalmers6 I asked them if you can come here, they said NO,” Cam’ron said on Instagram on Monday (April 17). “I told them that’s not right! They said they were done with you and they better not even see you outside. I’m doing my best to advocate for you but it doesn’t look good.”

“I told them you’ve been practicing in Dave and Busters and playing lil kids for EarPods (you can see in the last vid, slide 4) and I didn’t like it. I’ll keep you updated on what they say.”

A dapper Cam didn’t stop there as he added a clip of him sinking a jumper: “I’ll play you in a suit, n-gga!”
