Diddy has been caught on camera physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, with whom he settled a bombshell lawsuit back in November 2023.

In disturbing new footage obtained by CNN on Friday (May 17), a man identified as the embattled mogul can be seen in the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, CA, running from his hotel room, wearing nothing but a towel.

The incident, which took place on March 5, 2016, then cuts to Diddy grabbing Cassie by the neck and throwing her to the floor. He then kicks her repeatedly, grabs her personal items away from her, then kicks her once again before running back to his hotel room.

The “Me & You” singer then tries to use a hotel phone to call for assistance, which prompts the Bad Boy mogul to once again shove her down to the ground. He’s then seen sitting on a hotel chair, still wearing nothing but his towel, and throws what appears to be a vase in her direction.

According to TMZ, there does not seem to be a police report linked to the 2016 incident.

The LAPD also tells the outlet due to the 3-year statute of limitations that applies to crimes that took place before January 2020, they will not be investigating the assault or looking to file charges.

While Cassie declined to comment on the video, her attorney Douglas Wigdor issued a comment to the outlet saying, “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

Diddy has previously denied all allegations made by Cassie in her lawsuit.

Just one day after Cassie filed her lawsuit against Diddy back in November 2023, the parties reached what was called an “amicable” agreement.

“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” Cassie (real name Casandra Ventura) said in a statement (via the New York Post). “I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.”

Diddy (real name Sean Combs) shared his own statement, in which he explained the former couple had come to an agreement amicably.

“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably,” he said. “I wish Cassie and her family all the best.”

No details about the settlement have been disclosed.

Diddy’s attorney Ben Brafman addressed the settlement in a statement given to HipHopDX on November 18.

“Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing,” the attorney wrote. “Mr. Combs‘ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”

Branfman also previously claimed that Cassie was trying to shake Diddy down for money, and filed the “frivolous” lawsuit when he refused to comply.

“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” Branfman’s statement began. “For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.

“Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”
