Cam’ron has resorted to using a classic Hip Hop moment in hopes of recruiting Shannon Sharpe to his sports talk show.

On Monday (April 3), the Dipset rapper posted a clip on Instagram from his sports show It Is What It Is calling out the Undisputed co-host in a manner reminiscent of Marion “Suge” Knight.

“I seen Shannon curse on TV the other day,” Cam’ron began. “N-gga said, ‘What the fuck,’ then he had to stop himself. Yo Shannon, if you wanna be on television without the producers tellin’ you what to say, without ya co-host cutting you off every time you want to make a statement, come to the team.”

He continued: “Welcome to It Is What It Is, n-gga. Come on n-gga, we got a spot for yo ass, n-gga!”

Cam’s co-host and fellow Harlem rap star Ma$e then chimed in and poked fun at how NBA analyst Jay Williams says, “Keep it a buck.”

“Imagine having to come to work and get paid and you can’t say what the fuck you want, then you watch us say what the fuck we want,” Cam’ron joked.

At the height of the beef between the East and West Coast, Suge Knight addressed Diddy (then Puff Daddy) after winning Soundtrack of the Year at the 1995 Source Awards. Suge’s comments became both the hotbed for further tension between both coasts and a statement that people would constantly paraphrase for the next 28 years.

“First of all, I’d like to thank God,” Knight began. “Second of all, I’d like to thank my whole entire Death Row family on both sides, you know what I’m sayin’? I’d like to tell Tupac to keep his guards up, we ridin’ wit’ em.”

He continued: “And one other thing I’d like to say… Any artist out there who want to be an artist, and wanna stay a star, and won’t have to worry about the executive producer tryna be… all in the videos, all on the records, dancin,’ come to Death Row!”

Cam’ron seems to be in an inviting mood as he recently insisted Mario Chalmers be drug tested before their proposed one-on-one pickup game.

In an Instagram video posted by the Dipset rapper on Saturday (April 1), Cam responded to a video that Chalmers posted the day before regarding the basketball challenge.

“Where you been, where the fuck you been?” Cam asked in a sarcastic tone. “Talkin’ ’bout where you been; where you at now, n-gga?! It’s dark and ya eyes are dilating. You on that Blue Magic, bro. I know n-ggas on that. ‘I stand by it, I guarantee it.’ That’s what you on, bro.

“And bigger than basketball, I’m concerned, man. I know life threw you a few curveballs — pause — but yo, you can’t start that shit, bro.”

He continued: “And if we play, you gotta take a drug test. I’m like Judge Mathis with that heroin, I know a heroin addict when I see one. Yo bro, I’m concerned and if we play you have to take a mandatory drug test before, during, and after the game. Call me, man, if you need help. Besides basketball, I’m concerned.”

The war of basketball words between both men started when Cam’rom challenged the retired NBA star to a one-on-one basketball game on a recent episode of It Is What It Is.

During the episode, Killa Cam and Ma$e debated Chalmers’ recent controversial comments about how he felt nobody in the NBA “feared” LeBron James during his basketball dominance.
