An autopsy confirmed that Young Scooter (real name Kenneth Bailey) died from an injury to his leg caused when he was attempting to jump a fence while fleeing the police.

“Mr. Bailey sustained a penetrating injury of his right thigh that created marked blood loss,” the report reads. “This injury was not a gunshot wound.”

The autopsy contradicts conspiracy theories that had begun to circulate online that the 39-year-old rapper had been fatally shot by cops.

The police’s presence were a result of a 911 call that has now been confirmed as a hoax – resulting in the caller’s subsequent arrest.

Demetria Spence, better known as Baddies contestant Demi Blanco, was arrested by Atlanta police on Tuesday (April 1) and charged with transmitting a false public alarm that caused “serious bodily harm or death.”

Spence, 31, confessed earlier on Tuesday to making the fabricated 911 call that led police to Scooter’s home in Atlanta over claims of gunshots, violence against a woman and child endangerment.

Speaking on Instagram Live, Spence admitted to making the call but claimed that she was the one being assaulted — not a woman at Scooter’s house, as she had told the operator.

It is not known what Spence’s motive behind the call was, nor has it been confirmed why Scooter ran.

After the shocking news of his death spread, tributes from across the Hip Hop community poured in for Young Scooter, who was a respected veteran of the Atlanta Hip Hop scene and best known for his collaborations with Future, Young Thug, Gucci Mane and others.
