Brooklyn Crips Arrested After Stealing Balmain Jeans & Rocking Them On Facebook

A trio of alleged Crips from Brooklyn proved they belonged in the 2016 Dumbest Criminals archives after they were arrested for sharing flicks of themselves on social media wearing the Balmain they’re accused of robbing from a guy who steals and resales them.

The French haute couture fashion house is currently one of the most name dropped brands in Hip Hop with the likes of Young Thug, Kid Cudi and Kanye West among others glorifying their quality in their songs.

NYDailyNews reports that Tyshawn Rivera, Quentin Williams, Derrick Reed and Markel Washington are facing 10 years in prison if convicted on charges that include stealing $15,000 in cash, $10,000 in U.S. Postal money orders, and jewelry. To make matters worse, their legal teams were unaware that the clique (sans Washington) couldn’t contain themselves and flaunt the stolen goods on Facebook.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Margaret Gandy reportedly played the fool for Rivera and told the court that jeans could be from anywhere save for “Macy’s or TJ Maxx,” without knowing about the Facebook posts and defense lawyer Donna Newman stated “my client may well have purchased the jeans and may have receipts for them.”

Prosecutors say on May 14, the stickup kids burst into an apartment at the Cypress Hills Houses occupied by nine people, including five toddlers, and took all they could carry. Court documents say the apartment’s renter advertised the gear on Facebook and buys it using phony credits cards at retail stores.

Shortly after, the Crips were spotted on Facebook wearing not only the Balmain jeans but $1,000 Giuseppe Zanotti’s as well. A pair of the Distressed Moto Jeans are currently retailed for $1,485 at Barneys New York.

The New York Police Department are cracking down on refuted Crips and their alleged crime rings. Over the past week, two of Bobby Shmurda’s GS9 cohorts were sentenced to more that 100 years combined for charges that included murder, conspiracy and other infractions.

Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo denied Garcia’s bail and the other three presumably shared the same fate. Photos of their alleged transgressions can be seen below.

      1. Chuckles, great play on words. They would just have to kill me. Skinny jeans are not intimidating

    4. As well should you. Elementary grammar should have taught you to never begin a sentence with “and”.

    5. English grammar 101: You can’t write “Garcia” without saying his full name first as a reference. If he is a Brazilian soccer player using only one name, disregard this comment.
