Boosie Badazz has fired back at Gabrielle Union after she implied he’s secretly gay and has “a lot of dick on [his] mind.”
Union made the comments during an interview with Jemele Hill last November, where she addressed the outspoken Baton Rouge rapper while defending her teenage stepdaughter Zaya Wade’s transition from male to female.
“He’s so preoccupied. It’s almost like, thou doth protest too much, Little Boos,” the actress said in the clip, which resurfaced on social media over the weekend and went viral. “You got a lot of dick on your mind!
“[Zaya and Lil Nas X live in his head] rent free! It’s like, ‘Sir.’ Something you want to go ahead and tell us? This is a safe space, we can be your sanctuary. I don’t think he had a safe space [growing up].”
Union’s comments came after Boosie had spoken out against Zaya’s transition, telling the teen’s father and Union’s husband, former NBA star Dwyane Wade, that he had “gone too fucking far.”
After repeatedly doubling down on his insensitive comments in the face of widespread backlash, the Badazz Music Syndicate boss later relented and apologized to Wade.
“I apologize to Dwyane Wade,” he said during an appearance on Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin with Mike Tyson podcast. “I mean what I said but … I shouldn’t have said the shit about your child.”
In turn, the Miami Heat legend thanked Boosie and other critics for “allowing the conversation to keep going forward.”
However, Boosie’s tone was less repentant after catching wind of Gabrielle Union’s resurfaced interview on Sunday (December 4) as he issued a belated response to the actress via a series of angry, all-caps tweets.
After refuting her suggestion that he’s gay, Boosie turned his attention to D. Wade — who Union married in 2014 and shares one biological child with — and brought the three-time NBA champion’s sexuality into question.
“LOL‼️ THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW I LOVE WOMEN N THE WORLD KNOW YOUR HUSBAND LOVE DICK‼️” he wrote. “I HOPE U DONT THINK BLACKS LOOK AT YALL LIKE A POWER COUPLE THEY DONT‼️ I HAD REFUSED TO TALK ABOUT YALL IN INTERVIEWS N HEAR YOU GO‼️ GO BANG HIM WITH THAT DILDO N WAIT ON A SCRIPT U LIL WHITE GIRL.”
In a follow-up tweet, he added: “WOMAN U BETTER LEAVE ME ALONE‼️ HOW DARE U A CHALLENGE A GHETTO HEROS MANHOOD ,U WRONG SMH I DONT HAVE THE TIME FOR THIS ,IM TRYIN TO HAVE PEACE N MY LIFE N STAY ALIVE‼️”
