Birdman is doing his best to capitalize on his much maligned appearance on “The Breakfast Club” last month in which he said, “put some respek on my name,” before bolting out of the interview.
The Cash Money Records honcho launched a line shirts with the slogan on them. Now he’s got a song called “Respek” and is shooting a video for the cut in his native New Orleans today (May 2) and tomorrow (May 3).
“I’m goin home 2morrow to shoot my video #RESPEK #UPTOWN 3rd. Ward Monday and tues #Blatt#?SUMMER #CASHMONEYRICHGANG #RESPEK #FUKEM #MSGLADYS #RG2,” he wrote on his Instagram page yesterday (May 1).
Even though the video shoot is slated to take place tomorrow and Tuesday, Soulja Boy also posted what appears to be a clip for the video on his Instagram page yesterday.
Birdman is preparing for his forthcoming Ms. Gladys album, which is due June 24.
