A$AP Rocky debuted a new song during his headline set at Rolling Loud California this past weekend and it references the rivalry between Kendrick Lamar, Drake and J. Cole.
While perched on the edge of an actual helicopter, the Harlem rapper performed a previously unheard song and made it clear where he stands on the battle between Hip Hop’s “Big Three.”

“I ain’t on J. Cole’s, I ain’t on Drake’s, I ain’t on Kendrick’s side / I choose homicide, they gon’ see a different side,” he declared on the tough-talking track, which appears to sample Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise.”
The song also seemingly takes aim at A$AP Relli, Rocky’s former friend and A$AP Mob cohort who recently took him to trial (and lost) over claims the rap star shot him in 2021.

“N-ggas do the most when they irrelevant / Claiming A$AP, but we were never friends,” he spits.
Pretty Flacko also premiered a handful of other new songs during his set, including collaborations with Metro Boomin and BossMan Dlow, although he did not confirm whether they will appear on his forthcoming album Don’t Be Dumb.

A$AP Rocky has had much-publicized issues with Drake over the last couple of years, stemming from his girlfriend Rihanna‘s rumored fling with the Canadian rapper more than a decade ago.
The 6 God appeared to throw shots at the couple on his 2023 song “Fear of Heights,” before Rocky fired back on “Highjack,” as well as Future and Metro Boomin‘s “Show of Hands” and Kid Cudi‘s “WOW.”

However, Rocky downplayed their rift in an interview with Billboard last year, saying: “You got to realize, certain n-ggas was throwing shots for years. I ain’t in the middle of that shit. That’s not how I retaliate right now.”
He added: “I got bigger fish to fry than some pussy boys. It is real beef outside. It is real. N-ggas getting really clipped and blitzed every day. N-ggas sniping n-ggas every day. That little kitty shit ain’t about nothing.”
As for Don’t Be Dumb, the father of two recently hinted that the long-awaited album is finally around the corner.
“I’m in the mixing and mastering realm of it, but I think quite frankly, people are tired of hearing about updates about the album,” he admitted to GQ. “They’re just ready to get this shit, you know what I’m saying?

“I don’t think anybody wants to hear where I’m at with it, how far is it along and all that. They just want to hear some shit just to see where I’m at, and I promise I got some new shit in store. I’m challenging myself. It’s like anything, I approach it with a different tactic, degree, or finesse.”
He continued: “The album’s done. I just want to drop it. I don’t want to keep saying what I’m going to do and I want to give people what I’ve been promising them for a long-ass fucking time.”
