Ari Lennox Snaps Back At Snoop Dogg After He Comments On Her Hair

Dreamville singer Ari Lennox had an “idols become rivals” moment when she found herself in an Instagram back-and-forth on Wednesday (April 1) with the legendary Snoop Dogg.

Lennox’s struggle-filled wig tutorial made its way onto The Shade Room when Snoop made a swiping comment, “Grow your own hair what happened to those days,” accompanied with a shrug emoji, which also earned a headline post on the gossip page and spurred the ire of Keyshia Cole.

The Shade Butter Baby remixer didn’t take the slight lying down, however. She returned fire via her own Instagram with a photo of Snoop when he donned the caucasian persona “Todd” back in 2014 for some sort of social experiment.

“Uncle I just…I just thought we had an understanding…” she captioned the screenshot.

Upon posting, the pic spurred reactions from fellow artists Chance The Rapper and Yung Baby Tate.

Ari Lennox Tearfully Addresses Troll Who Called Her & Teyana Taylor 'Rottweilers'

Lennox has been known to get defensive about her looks in the past. In January, she fought back tears as she confronted a troll who referred to her and R&B star Teyana Taylor as “rottweilers.”

        1. Bitter AF lol everybody knows live an unhappy life being so petulant and angry all the time

    1. We should call him Grandpa Snoop now lol. It’s always the “gangster rappers” who gossip the most on social media nowadays…

        1. Yeah true but she took it off after and she was bald and we never spoke again.

      1. It’s called protective stying and versatility. Just cause I put a wig on or long braids doesn’t mean I hate my hair. I love my hair, I am grateful I have hair. Sometimes I want a different look and that doesn’t mean self hate. Besides, plenty of women in different cultures/backgrounds do the same, they just hide it. Many white women wear clip-in extensions and full wigs and no one comes for them. Each person is entitled to do why they want with their hair and body and in no way is it okay for anyone, especially a man, to push is own opinion on what he thinks she should do with herself

        1. Always tryna drag white women down into the depths of hell with you. You are a bald headed scallywag admit it and move on hooker.

          1. Shut up little bitch. Black don’t crack, but all white girls start looking old as fuck after the age of 21.

          2. Lol! Hair is an accessory to all, nowdays.

@Facts Venezuela- girl, speak “facts” or change your name. You didn’t come on here to understand, you came to try to put Black women down. FAIL.

The world is mad bc we’re magic, and tbh, give 0 fuks about what you or anyone else thinks…and you all don’t know what to do with that energy.

You’d be better off speaking ONLY on what you know, not what you think you know. And if you’re not sure, many of us would gladly educate. BUT let’s be real, you and many others like staying in the space of ignorance. Neeeext.

    2. I like it both ways natural and weaves and wigs I appreciate the versatility to be honest..its art ..and some pull it off “flawlessly”
