After a Twitter troll called Ari Lennox and fellow singer Teyana Taylor “rottweilers,” the Dreamville singer took to Instagram Live to stand up for herself and advocate for the black community.
“I’m not fucking with that shit at all,” Lennox said. “Why are you so comfortable tearing down Black women and no other race? Look around. When are Hispanic women ever compared to dogs? When do they do that? When do they do that to White women?”
Lennox continued, “I love Black features. I want us to get to a point where we are becoming aware of the self-hate sometimes, when you are referring to Black women as a dog because we’re not doing this to other races.”

Before taking to Instagram Live, Lennox clapped back at the Twitter troll by retweeting with some words of her own.

Minutes later, the “BMO” singer continued to tweet, encouraging black parents to let their children know to embrace their unique features.

Taylor also took to Twitter to respond to the situation, retweeting Lennox in agreement and writing, “No lies detected.”

As Revolt TV pointed out, this isn’t the first time Lennox has lashed out on comments regarding her appearance.
Most recently, Lennox responded to those who’ve criticized her nose.
“How many times will y’all come for my black nose? It will never tf go anywhere,” Lennox tweeted. “Y’all are disgusting and the reason people self medicate and get surgery. Just fuckin stop.”

The thread continues with Lennox replying to a user who admired her standing up for herself and saying, “It’s not easy to ignore, I feel it’s a conversation that needs to be had.”
