Alchemist Declares Earl Sweatshirt’s New Album A “Masterpiece”

Three years after Earl Sweatshirt released his critically acclaimed I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside, fans are still starving for new music. Alchemist took the anticipation up a notch on social media this week.

On Wednesday (October 3), a fan asked the veteran producer, “When that new Earl shit dropping?” Alchemist replied, “Listened to his new album again last nite that shit is a masterpiece.”

The release date for the project has yet to be announced.

The Odd Future alum has been keeping a relatively low profile since the January passing of his father, South African poet laureate Keorapetse Kgositsile.

He’s been gradually making his presence known again on the music front. A few weeks ago, the Doris mastermind jumped on Twitter and played some unreleased tracks in the background. In the since-deleted tweet, he stated, “The vibes… SRS COMING SOON THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER !!”

Earl will also be performing as part of the late Mac Miller’s upcoming charity concert.

On the other hand, Alchemist is on the boards once again for Curren$y and Freddie Gibb’s joint mixtape Fetti, which is expected to arrive on Halloween. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]

    1. I’m a huge fan of this guy, he’s an immensely talented individual I can’t wait to hear his masterpiece. I still play I Don’t Like Shit I Don’t Go Outside at least once a week. So much crap being released nowadays I’m looking forward to somebody who’s an actual MC

    2. It’s funny because I’m an Em fan, but I think Earl is dope. I wonder if him and/or Tyler will reply at all. Eminem and Alchemist are good friends and have worked together in the past, so this is interesting to see him publicly comment on Earl’s newest music so soon after the Kamikaze diss. But hey Alchemist is a producer. Hes going to work with tons of rappers regardless of who likes each other. Excited to hear this new album. Been too damn long for a new album from this guy.

      1. Alchemist and Evidence are also very close and Evidence released the illest eminem diss of all time. Honestly I’m convinced alchemist just tours with Em for the money.

        1. Facts you sound lame asf. Anyone acting like earl doesn’t have bars obviously isn’t in to lyrical stuff. He’s got a different style but it’s dope for people who like that style of hiphop. I trip out on you lames who don’t like an artist yet are all up in the comment section of their articles making sure you let everyone know your not a fan. It’s patheeeetic but it goes on def ears. Enjoy being bitter! Cheers.

Lol Deaf ears but you replied to me. Your comment is riddled with spelling errors and earl is still wack. Fanboyism at it’s worst.

            1. Hahahaha keep trying man. Your def.. that was the point and it speaks clearly. Lol. Im not trying to win a spelling contest in any comment section. Lol. You obviously want a win here. But you are not getting it. “Fanboyism” lol ok please keep reaching. I listen to everything.

    3. Possibly my favorite Producer right here. The work he did with Curren$y on Covert Coupe was too good. Can’t wait to see what Earl’s got going on.

        1. I love Earl but come on. Don’t join the Em hate bandwagon. Earl’s dropped one album that was dope, and one that was poorly mastered but dark and still good. He’s the best rapper of his generation. But better overall than Recovery, Hell the sequel, mmlp2, Kamikaze? Nah.

    4. Doris and I don’t like shit I don’t go outside are dope albums, go back listening to Revival, clown.

      1. That’s why I can’t take you serious. You assume I listen to eminem. Are all earl sweaty pit fans this sensitive? Hmm

    5. If Racist Alan says it’s a masterpiece, it’s more than likely trash, just like his drumless, boring looped samples he calls “beats”. And big chance those “beats” will be in this album, too.

    6. You’re deranged. Blu is clearly mentally unwell. Look for some hard evidence before just unjustly calling white people racist.
