Action Bronson isn’t really feeling the major label situation right now, according to a pair of recent tweets. Wednesday morning (May 24), the Queens rapper and VICE show host tweeted his frustration to no one in particular, although it was presumably aimed at VICE/Atlantic Records over the holdup of his next project.
In late March, Bronson teased the near-completion of Blue Chips 7000, and recently suggested a June 23 release date, adding “hopefully.”
Wednesday, Bronsolini fired off a tweet that read, “PUT MY MOTHERFUCKING ALBUM OUT,” which had nearly 2,000 retweets and more than 4,000 likes at the time of publishing. Bronson released the video for “Durag Vs. Headband” last October.
Further back in 2016 and before, Bronson was promoting Human Highlight Reel, a project that still hasn’t materialized.
On May 15, Bronson tweeted, “Stay independent. For fucks sake please listen to me,” which also got a healthy response from followers. Bronson has yet to reply to inquiries on the status of his releases, but clearly, he’s fed up with waiting.
Bronson’s last studio release was his 2015 major label debut, Mr. Wonderful.
Didnt like him for the longest. The Ghostface comparisons didnt help. Held his own on other artist projects whom I fuck with and had dope content on YouTube to watch while stoned. Long story short Mr. Wonderful had some dope cuts and Im looking foward to new shit from him.

He was all over my playlists just 2 years ago and for years before that, but strangely enough I haven’t thought much about him in about a year. I guess the label really is making it difficult for him, because prior to his Mr. Wonderful album he would have material out every few months. So I guess he’s doing a third installment of Blue Chips and an album called Human Highlight Reel. Can’t wait.
Stop with the GhostFace comparisons, the voice is similar but the subject matter and flows are way different.

Why will your second album drop when you want when the label couldn’t recoup from the first album. Its sad because I love Action Bronson considering he is a natural emcee.
