6ix9ine has announced that he’s getting ready to drop a new album — but he’s only doing it to prove a point.
The “GUMMO” rapper posted a photo of himself with marketing executive Anthony Malascalza on Monday (December 11) to reveal his latest project. While he didn’t mention the name of the album, he did tease that he’ll be dropping it at the end of this year, or at the beginning of 2024.
However, according to him, he’s only trying to prove how fake the entertainment industry is.
“I’m gonna give you guys maybe one more project before the year end or early next year,” he wrote in the caption. “And that’s only to prove that this industry is a joke. I’ve always been the best and will continue to be the best.”
He continued: “Look at it in simple terms life was so much better when I was on the internet everyday putting music out. Music is not the same and it’s been corny because you have Lames running the game and deciding what’s ‘culture’ I once fell in love with what I did but noticed the game is for politics and who’s the best ass kisser.”

While 6ix9ine is currently making headlines for his new music, his latest headlines have solely been for legal reasons — and, most recently, those legal reasons have to do with a hefty restitution fine.
On November 21, Axios Miami reported that the 27-year-old is being held responsible for hitting a dancer named Alexis Salaberrios in the head with a champagne bottle. As a result, a Florida jury awarded her $9.8 million in damages after the defendant didn’t show up to his civil trial over the summer.
The incident took place at the Gold Rush strip club in Miami, Florida back in 2021, following which the alleged victim took Tekashi to court.
Salaberrios has since claimed to have not received her compensation from the rapper, who she said has been concealing his assets and income to avoid paying her. She subsequently proposed seizing his earnings to fulfill the court order.
And in October, 6ix9ine was freed from jail on $500,000 bail stemming from his alleged involvement in an assault of two men in the Dominican Republic.
Still, he has a restraining order against him, meaning he has to stay away from his accusers. He also has to take anger management classes.
Them two Dominican guys should be ashamed LOL
While you could point to his success as proof that the industry is a joke, I’d say the people that actually listen to him and made him money are the joke and proof that our society is in the toilet. We’ve become Idiocracy…
“I’ve always been the best and will continue to be the best.” -6ix9ine Yeah ok, Jus throw out pretty much every rapper who’s had success with their career. What a clown. 🤡
