On Sunday (February 18), Fif acknowledged the legendary producer’s 59th birthday by posting on Instagram.

He captioned a 2004 photo of them together with the message: “Happy Birthday to my boy Dre, we got some New Heat coming.”

While the media mogul and spirits entrepreneur didn’t specify what that “heat” is exactly, his followers were quick to jump on the possibility of them making new music together.

“New music?!?! Let’s goooo! [fire emojis],” one person enthusiastically commented on the post, while another wrote: “We need that New 50 album it’s been to long.”

This isn’t the first time that 50 Cent has talked about reuniting with Dr. Dre.

At the beginning of last year, the “In Da Club” rapper appeared on Big Boy’s Neighborhood where he was asked about a then-recent Instagram post in which he announced “new music, new TV” and a “new Movie.”</>

Fif said that as soon as he shared the news with fans, his Shady/Aftermath family reached out to let him know they were ready to work.

“As soon as I said that, I got a text from [Eminem] that he had already spoke to Dre, and that Dre is in there and he got some crazy stuff for me to go hear,” he said.

“This is my process: I’ll go make something, what I can find, the best music that I can put my hands on. And when I feel real good about it, I bring it to put pressure on Dre to offer me something. ‘Cause he’ll have something… He’s always had something.”

The G-Unit boss went on to explain that there have even been instances in the past where Dr. Dre gave up beats he had created for himself for 50 Cent to use.

Dre may be just a year away from 60, but he doesn’t appear to be slowing down. He and Snoop Dogg just introduced a major new venture, albeit a non-musical one.

Earlier this month, the duo shared a cinematic trailer for their new “Gin & Juice” product that features them playing two gangsters reminiscent of Vincent and Jules from Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 classic Pulp Fiction.

Based on a clip shared by the legendary team’s joint Twitter account, the drink will come in four flavors: Apricot, Citrus, Melon and Passionfruit.

It is worth noting that multiple “Gin & Juice” trademarks were filed last year by a company called Defiant Ones, LLC, which shares its name with the 2017 mini-series about the alliance between Dre and Jimmy Iovine.

The same entity also filed a claim over “Vodka & Juice By Dre and Snoop.” Considering their collaborative social media account is called ByDreAndSnoop, which doesn’t specify any one product, more items by the two might be in the works.
