50 Cent Celebrates Big Meech Prison Release Update With ‘BMF’ Promise

Black Mafia Family co-founder Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory was reportedly granted an early release from prison on Monday (June 14). According to AllHipHop, U.S. District Judge David M. Lawson agreed to reduce Big Meech’s prison sentence from 360 months to 324 months, shaving three years off his original sentence.

Big Meech was convicted of running a nationwide Continual Criminal Enterprise and Conspiracy To Launder Money Instruments until the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) dismantled the Black Mafia Family in 2007. But from the late 1990s to when Meech was arrested, the organization amassed over $270 million in drug proceeds.

BMF’s story was intriguing enough for 50 Cent to create a television show around the multi-million dollar empire called Black Mafia Family. Now, he’s celebrating the good news with an Instagram post, promising the STARZ series will dominate all other television shows.

“YES,” he captioned a screenshot of the article. “Now you know this BMF show is gonna Blow everything off the fucking TV, the real shit different ! Green Light Gang.”

Big Meech’s brother, Terry “Southwest T” Flanory, was already released from prison in April 2020 over coronavirus concerns. Meech attempted to use the same argument to no avail.

Fortunately for Big Meech, he met the criteria for a sentence reduction under USSG amendments 782 and 788, which revised the drug quantity and chemical quantity tables for all drug offenses. The amendments can be applied to all drug offenses that took place prior to November 2014. Now, Meech will be released in 2028 instead of 2031 as originally scheduled.

Big Meech has been a model prisoner over the last 16 years. He earned his GED and completed a 24-month special management program as well as finished health awareness, money management and parenting classes.

He also unveiled plans for a new program called “Build More Families” in an effort to rebrand BMF while simultaneously helping with community events, back-to-school drives and basketball contests from behind bars.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent is moving full steam ahead with production of Black Mafia Family.  In March, he revealed Detroit native Kash Doll is joining the cast as “Monique” as production continued. The series will also star Tyshon Freeman, Jasun Jabbar Wardlaw Jr. and Michole Briana White.

    1. Most guys I know that didnt cooperate went to the Fed joint got 30 years or Life. Black Mafia Snitch.

      1. Ummm…his sentence was for nearly 30 years originally. It’s says in the first paragraph he got 360 months.

    2. I used to hear about these dudes back in the 90’s but I wasn’t aware of their notoriety because I wasn’t paying attention back then. I would like to see a movie or something about their lives.

    3. 50 didn’t even know Meech until he got the idea for this show and visited him a couple times in prison. 50 just wants to profit off him and his story, stop pretending like you been his best friend

      1. So 50 didn’t know what BMF was, but got the idea for the show? LOL. That makes sense. You’re an idiot.

        1. Where did he say he didn’t know what BMF was? He’s clearly saying 50 didn’t know Meech personally….you idiot

    4. Murderers,Pedophiles,Rapist get less time than this man who’s clearly learned from his mistakes and is trying to better himself and atone for his past yet big pharma and the motherfuckers who pushed Oxycotin on this country are allowed to roam free. The system is broken . He’s done enough time and deserves to come home to his family and lead by example and show kids how this lifestyle is not something to be glorified

      1. Done enough time? $270 million in profits is a lot of poison he pushed. Ask some of the families that have lost kids to drugs he sold if Meech has done enough time. Repenting and changing is a good thing. Doesn’t mean he deserves to be a free man. Some things you cannot undo. No matter how much you try to compare his sentence to other criminals’ or drug companies it doesn’t reverse what he did or make it better.

        1. Did he force anyone to do drugs? no! Give this man his freedom and let him live the remainder of his life that he have!

    5. To hear what direction his life is heading you cant do anything besides salute the man. Your past does not define your future.

    6. “Big Meech has been a model prisoner over the last 16 years. He earned his GED and completed a 24-month special management program as well as finished health awareness, money management and parenting classes.”…. Wow.. So gangster of him lmfao.
