2 Chainz has revealed that there were supposed to be some other special guests on Welcome 2 Collegrove that didn’t quite make the cut.

The Atlanta rapper hosted an informal AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Twitter on Thursday (November 30) where his fans’ questions prompted him to share that Roddy Ricch and Kevin Durant were just a few of the many people that were supposed to appear on his joint album with Lil Wayne.

“We took our time with it but one song taht didn’t make the cut that I wish did featured @KDTrey5 and he went craaazy,” he said to a fan who asked if there were any songs he wished had been included on the album.

He also revealed that he couldn’t get a Prince sample cleared in time; a Roddy Ricch feature was also jammed up in the process; and that he and Weezy were together in the studio for “about 60 percent” of the making of their second joint effort.

On October 20, the Southern rap heavyweights unveiled the release date and cover art for their long-awaited follow-up to 2016’s ColleGrove.

The artwork depicts Weezy’s face with slight elements of Tity Boy, including his beard, a flip on their first cover, which reversed roles by picturing 2 Chainz adorned with some of Wayne’s face tattoos.

Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz also released a hard-hitting single called “Presha” ahead of the release

Even on the album’s November 17 release date, 2Chainz and Lil Wayne continued to make sure they had captured fans’ attentions with a visualizer for the “Shame.”

Featuring driving production that sprinkles some Southern-fried flavor into RZA’s sonic blueprint, “Shame” features a prominent sample of Ol’ Dirty Bastard‘s voice and interpolates his hook from “Shame On a N-gga,” off the Wu’s 1993 debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

Despite the fact that the excitement around Welcome 2 Collegrove has yet to die down, Lil Wayne has already given fans a new single from a completely collaboration.
